Mini PC w/ Occulink or TB5

After some trials and tribulations I went with the GMKtec K8 Plus. It was the only one with OCuLink with a decent reputation on the forum at the time. Currently TB5 (Intel/Apple) and USB4v2 (open source) are rarely supported on mobile devices. Apple for example has TB5 but no PCIe support for graphi

What is best mini PC for gaming w/eGPU support

Aoostar GT37 has oculink and soldered 8000MT/s RAM Honerable mention to the GMKtec Evo X-1 with 7500MT/s RAM The Minisforum X1 Pro has upgradeable RAM and would be a better general all round mini pc to connect to an eGPU. Beelink's GTi13 Ultra and GTi14 Ultra are still competitive with good CPU sing

What is best mini PC for gaming w/eGPU support

The EVO-X1 doesn't advertise the 8000MT/s "gimmick", although u/RobloxFanEdit provide evidence & use experience on his GhostKeyboard Review channel The GEM10 370 / GT37 is no more than a EVO-X1 clone in a Gzosmeta custom case. As for LPDDR5x vs DDR5 SODIMM found in the X1 Pro, when ServeTheHome comp

ASUS NUC 15 Pro Plus VS Minisforum AI370 vs Beelink SER9 Pro

To start, I'm a little biased when it comes to ASUS. The shop has contracts with ASUS while the staff & I have always found the company easy to deal with. When it comes to support, there's no comparison to ASUS & the Chinese branded NUC market. Having said that... With the incredibly 115W MTP due to

Looking for mini pc reccomendations

I'm still running windows on the ally because sometimes I have to use windows exclusive programs, I do sometimes use Xbox full screen to improve performance. I just can't decide if that gmtec evo a1 I mention is worth the upgrade or not. It does have 32gb of ram so maybe that will help make the diff

FEVM FAEX1 - AI Max+ 395 with Oculink

If I might make a small suggestion. Look into the GMKTec EVO X1. It's got the AMD 370 HX apu with the 870m igpu. The gpu is NOWHERE near as powerful as the 8060s, BUT the model comes with a built in oculink port, its bios works perfectly with dGpu setups and it also an extremely capable unit. Iirc t

GMKtec K8 Plus - Fan noise when in sleep mode

There's simply no magic to how Apple achieves the silence the Mac Mini has provided. It's simple physics. Induction & exhaust of air flow is on the bottom. As-long-as the CPU can sustain a balanced heat dissipation (TDP), it all comes down to "elegance of design". This is why Apple abandoned Intel w

Mini PC Recommendation

If you do go with the GMKtec EVO-X1 with the Radeon 890M, you could always get an external GPU Oculink and keep using your RX 9070 XT when you need the extra horse power. This would keep you well under your $2000 budget and give you more flexibility. The downside is, these mini-PCs have soldered RAM

Buying help

Tarkov is a bit of a demanding game, but it would be possible to play it on high settings on a mini-PC as long as you get the right one. Long story short, here is what I recommend:GMKtec EVO-X2 $1600 USDhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F53QXNGH?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_1FMCJ2FQBXR27ZQ63BP2That recommendation is h
