GMKtec is in the Top 3 Brands amongs Minisforum and Beelink. (Chinese Brand) GMKtec is on the rise and is a serious competitor to become in a very near future the Top Chinese Mini PC Brand, their ambition to become the major actor in the Mini PC market can be seen in their latest and upcoming models

Hardware recommendation

Check out the GMKtec EVO-T1, picked one up a few months back and have been really liking it, Intel 285H, 64Gb RAM, dual nics, 3 nvme drive bays, and no issue with the different cores playing funny. I’ve also got the Geekom A8 which has the 8945HS chip in which is 8c/16t but this is currently just be

GMKtec K12 64GB for Ollama?

Strix Halo is just that, a halo product, it's built completely differently and it's designed to go after the Mac Studio type mini-PCs. Whereas an AMD Phoenix or Strix Point mini-PC would only take a crack at the base model Mac Mini. You shared a mini PC running on Krackan Point - it's in between Pho

Seeking: MiniPC/SBC with PCIE 5 +2 nvme current gen cpu

Had not run into the Evo-T1. That said it looks like the final vesion has no PCIE 5.0, 3x NVMe 4.0 and an occulink aint shabby, but a hair short. Also looks like they went with H series Core 200, not V for the final design. Which actually I prefer but so close. I'd rate this on par with the near mis

I am absolutely lost on what computer to purchase...advice appreciated

Take a look at mini pcs. Small and quiet. RAM and storage can be upgraded on most. I have always built my own PC's but recently bought a GMKTec EVO-T1 and it's been good for what I want it for, which is similar to your use case except I am doing some local AI stuff.

Buying mini PC directly from GMKtec, Beelink, or Minisforum vs Amazon — worth the savings?

I had reservations about ordering from GMKtec directly, but I honestly had a decent experience. Mainly ordered from them directly because it was the only place to get the barebones version. Ordered the new EVO-T1 AI on July 28th. I got a little nervous because it spent more than a few days simply "a

AI chips and new builds // only for local AI?

Hi, The GMKtec Evo-T1 is the Mini PC with the most A.I compability but it is quite far behind the Evo-X2, the Evo-X1 would only run reasonning models locally while the Evo-T1 could run ComfyUI with Intel XPU and run: Image, Video, Audio and Reasonning models, The Evo X1 lack of A.I Software Support

Mini PC for multitasking, replacing a Trigkey 5700u with 32gb ram

If it wasn't for the amount of RAM I'd say go for a Mac Mini. All your tools either have official Mac versions or easily usable alternatives. Beyond that, the GMKtec evo T1 or X1 in benchmarks performs similarly, so whichever one gives a better deal. (X1 is the AMD equivalent of the T1)
