Chefs knife Gift for wife recommendations: durable, easy to maintain, circa 300$
Wusthoff Classic Ikon if she likes Western handles and geometry. Global forged series GF-33, not the G-2 chef knife if she prefers more Japanese influenced geometry and edge. The Global forged series are a lot more robust than the regular G series knives.
