ELI5: Is there a device that can take a hardwired internet connection and project Wi-Fi?

AP is the answer. For a 5th wheel I’d suggest a GL.iNet travel router. The slate AX or the Slate 7 are solid. You can set them up in access point mode or router mode. There’s some learning that’s needed but it’ll be worth your while.

Tech question: going to be in Thailand several months found an apartment to rent and they have internet included. There’s an Ethernet cord and wifi but I would prefer to use a private router that I can put a VPN on?
