What routers can you configure without an app?
I believe most of them still have web ui available for configuring settings. Some of them make it a pain to do initial setup without an app though, for example my last Netgear Nighthawk you could set it up from the we ui but they were strongly pushing you to do it with the app and it was a pain to b

Choosing between a Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 and a Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Max
If you're not planning on having multiple APs and you're not planning on doing a full Unifi stack where you're buying into the whole ecosystem then you might consider a GL-iNet Flint 3e instead, it's more affordable and consumer friendly while still giving you the option go go into the advanced UI a

Incorrect temporary line install resulted in canceled account
Are you sure it is still capped at 35mbps in your neighborhood? I'd be surprised if they didn't at least have mid-split upload speeds of about 200-300 mbps most places by now, but I think you need a mid-split capable modem or gateway, and the CMTS/vCMTS has to be configured for it. If you can get ov

Best way to fix bad ping/online gaming home internet
Not off hand really. This test will determine if SQM is really necessary but if you scroll down and read the FAQs and the router recommendations below, it's a start. Not sure they necessarily have every router that supports SQM. https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat I use a GL.iNet Flint 3, but

Best router for gaming?
I don't know who else offers SQM but I use a GL.iNet Flint 2 and Flint 3. You have to add SQM, but it's easy to do.

Help me choose a router
Who TF down voted this? GL-iNet Flint 2 or Flint 3 would be a great option and the run Openwrt so you have access to all the more advanced features through the LuCi interface under advanced options if you want to use them, or you can just use the vendor interface for all the basic stuff.

Work computer needs internet but I don't want it on my home network
Ubiquiti hardware is great but it's also pricey and overkill for what a lot of people really need. If you want a larger setup with multiple APs and managed switches then absolutely Ubiquiti is the way to go since you can manage everything from a single interface. Otherwise I'd look at the GL-iNet Fl

Need router/gateway for at&t fiber
Look at GL-iNet Flint 3, it's less expensive and more general consumer friendly while still supporting all the more advanced things like VLANs if you want them through the Openwrt LuCi interface under the advanced settings page.
