What routers can you configure without an app?
I believe most of them still have web ui available for configuring settings. Some of them make it a pain to do initial setup without an app though, for example my last Netgear Nighthawk you could set it up from the we ui but they were strongly pushing you to do it with the app and it was a pain to b

WiFi version 7 pricing what is going on?
GL.iNet Flint 3 is a fantastic wifi 7 router at $200. Just bought one, very happy with it. The range is huge and the firmware / software on it is feature rich, includes Adguard Home, just toggle the switch. None of those annoying subscriptions, just a great router.

Help me choose a router
I think some may be concerned the manufacturer of Flint 2/Flint 3, GL.iNet, is based on Hong Kong, which is close to China (in proximity and perhaps other ways). Sure one could re-flash their own OpenWRT firmware on the router, but there may be concerns about what other configuration may exist on th

$2500 Samsung TV is an advertising billboard, there is no opt-out.
Slightly more expensive but I got a new router recently (GL.iNet GL-BE6500 (Flint 3e)) and it supports ad block (via apps) and vpn out of the box which was super convenient

Difference between Netgear BE9300-1AZPAS and RS300-100NAS? $90 difference but look identical
I'd return the Netgear garbage and go with GL-iNet Flint 3 instead. https://a.co/d/0ilMHZDg the hardware is great and it's already running on open source firmware which means it will have a much longer potential life with security updates before it goes EoL. You can do a lot more advanced things wit

Wanting to upgrade my ASUS RT-AX3000 router
Consider the GL.iNet Flint 3: https://store-us.gl-inet.com/products/flint-3-gl-be9300-tri-band-wi-fi-7-home-router GL.iNet routers use OpenWRT as the basis of their firmware and it also includes AdGuard Home built into the router itself. That being said I haven't used their routers but have heard a

Router recs for regular daily use 2026
It really depends on your needs and how much extra stuff you want to do with it. For the things you mentioned let's assume you decide to go with AT&T Fiber (just cause that's what I have and am familiar with though I suspect the other providers will be similar) on the 1G plan you get the BGW320 gate

Looking at increasing my security and anominity with my router
You want a Privacy Router. Look at the GL.iNET routers that use OpenWRT. I like the Flint 3 but anything that used OpenWRT (Amazon search). If your are not afraid of DIY you can flash a copy of OpenWRT (supported hardware) on many existing routers.

Best all around router for home gaming/streaming? [UK]
GLI Flint 3 GL-BE9300 is a good buy and is on deal at the moment on Amazon. Tri-band Wifi 7 so has 6ghz, 2.4gb Lan. It runs on OpenWrt and has Adguard, Timescale, openVPN etc. (Dont get the 3E as it only has 5ghz) It's a well known company, so plenty of reviews here, videos on Youtube etc. Flint 2 i
