First build
I used this MicroCenter bundle for the CPU, mb, and memory. This saves you $180, compared to buying the same three parts individually online. All other parts were sourced from online retailers, because MC seldom has the best prices on individual parts. CPU: The 9800X3D is the fastest CPU for gaming.

How can I make this build better
The RAM listing is a false listing - you're not getting 16GB of DDR5 RAM for $80 in today's market (it's listed as out of stock on the Walmart site - it's going to be out of stock in perpetuity). Unless you're going to be editing videos professionally, you don't need a 7900X. For hobby editing, you'

is this pc future proof and good?
This is less money and better performance. You don't have to go for the pink ram but black is $30 more lol You mostly overbudgeted for the SSD and Case in your build. You could go for a 7600x or 9600x if the 7500f is putting you off. You can fit a 5070 in just over the original budget with a little

SSD is Lexar Nm 790 2to good enough for gaming ?
Lexar is a brand of Shenzen Longsys. Gaming performance does not depends on advertized R/W speeds: https://youtu.be/gl8wXT8F3W4. The only characteristic you should care for is the flash type (avoid QLC, get TLC). All these drives are good: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price Storage Patriot P400

Build to play hoi4 and maybe arma games in the future, with upgradability
Not great, but not terrible either. As others have mentioned, consider going with the 9600X instead of the 7700X unless you specifically need the extra two cores. The motherboard, however, is by far the biggest waste of money in the budget. You can easily find boards that are 130 AUD cheaper and per

Should I act on this?
I would suggest the following build that gets you a 7800X3D (using the bundle from Micro Center) with a 5070 Ti for under $2000. The 5070 Ti isn't a good deal anymore compared to the 9070 XT, but VRChat and VR in general typically perform better with Nvidia GPU's over AMD (at least from the many art
