I could be all off here — I am not a professional, an expert or anything like that — but no one has mentioned whether you are setting these up as near-field monitors or as room speakers. I’m set up right now with a pair of Genelec 8030c speakers a little more than arm’s length away from where I sit.

Another benefit of genelecs, 8030 or similar, is they got a tiny footprint for a desk. I used to have 8030c on my desk and now use revel m106 which are massive.
