Genelec 8030C is probably the best deal for high-end. Really just depends on your budget. Edit: or KH 120 II

I have both passives (Revel F206) and actives (Genelec 8030c) and both are good. Don't know how to vote on this. Good speakers are good speakers. You can find an active speaker that sounds better than a certain passive speaker and you could find the inverse as well.

Genelecs are awesome. A pair of 8030 with 7050 sub will run you about $3000

Thank you. I have Genelec G Threes as rear speakers. Bought 8030C as a replacements', but I'm still using them on my other setup. I play moderate volume, so I don't think it makes any difference if I swap them.

I own both and can tell you that the improvement is substantial. 8030’s offer much better bass extension and even if you would run them with a subwoofer I would still recommend the 8030’s over 8010. For reference I use the 8010’s in my work-from-home setup, so mainly Teams calls and some low volume

Those 8030 Genelecs are probably 10 years old believe it or not, hard to see but I have the 7050 sub behind the minimoog. I mainly use them when I am designing sounds on the modular system but sometimes I reference on them. Even a 10 year old speaker still handles business

Genelec 100%, 1000% Genelec The 8010s are shockingly good for the cost and size, just keep in mind that woofers of that size simply cannot reproduce low end with the accuracy of a larger driver, those speakers only go down to 67hz which means you’re going to notice the lack of low end. Get a good pa

Hifi speakers are generally voiced or designed for distance listening. Get yourself some decent near field monitors especially since you have a high end digital mixer with those excellent Neve transformers to really appreciate this mixer. I have owned a lot of high end rotary mixers including ARS. T

I can never live with the genelecs 8030c I had in the past. It's a little too sharp and when watching random low quality YouTube videos, it becomes unbearable. Not sure if it's the tweeter or the upper bass.
