Thinking about ditching Garmin for Suunto would that be a mistake?
I had thr same feeling from Garmin, getting frustrated with charging for premium £1000+ watches, then hiding features behind a paywall Moved from a Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 to a Suunto Race S about 6 weeks ago & haven't looked back since

Which watch
You can get the 47mm Garmin Epix Gen Pro 2 for £370. It's great value. https://www.hsamuel.co.uk/garmin-epix-pro-gen-2-mens-47mm-black-strap-smartwatch/p/V-8667982?cm_mmc=SEM_Google:HS%7C%7CShopping%7C%7CBrand%7C%7CBrand%20Inclusion::8667982&_$ja=acid:628-777-7884%7Ccid:21803093916%7Cagid:%7Ctid:%7Ccr

Venu 4 to Fenix 8 - I think it was the right decision
As much as I loved my Fenix 6 and epix 2, I can't stomach spending over a grand on a watch I'm going to upgrade in a couple years anyway. The venu 4 price was much better and I will feel less bad when I get my next watch. That being said I kept my epix pro gen 2 just in case I ever go on long hikes

Fenix 8 Pro is useless...
The £1700 cost of the microLED Fenix 8 Pro reminds me how great I deal I got with my Epix Gen 2 Pro Sapphire for £400!

Tactix 8 is out! MIP only on 51mm :/
That interesting because I’d imagine most people buying this watch would opt towards MIP. $1,400 for the MIP — just crazy pricing on these new Garmin models (Fenix and Tactix). After seeing how my Epix Gen 2 was treated, I’ll never be spending this kind of money on a watch from Garmin again. They se

AWU3 vs Garmin Fenix 8 - losing my mind over this GAS spiral 😅
To be honest based on what you plan on doing I think Garmin is the perfect fit for you. I think you’re right, in that people are always posting they switched but I would go out on a limb to say they aren’t even doing half of what you’re doing. I had an Epix 2 (non-pro) and just switched to an ultra

Garmin’s Q1 Wearable Software Updates Leaked – New Features Include Passcode and Body Battery TrueUp
Fenix 7/Epix Pro already abandoned with just a little more than a year. Then you have the Fenix E, which is just an Epix Gen 2 with the new UI/features, priced as a new flagship device. Garmin is really mocking their users in a very badly way. I understand than it's just a company wanting to make mo

Garmin vs Amazfit
Important: only watches from Amazfit, as of today, that are worth anything are T-Rex 3 and Active 2, the other watches have very bad HR sensors. For Garmin, I would prefer the Fenix 7 Pro, Epix Pro Gen 2, or Fenix 8, Enduro 3, as they have the flashlight and Elevate V5 (latest HR sensor from Garmin)

Am I the only one Here that Actually Likes the New Instinct 3?
Lol, it doesn't have new sensor and costs double than Instinct 2. Not worth it. for that price I bought Epix gen 2
