I made a small upgrade after 9 years
Impressive. I'm about to hit 4 years with my Epix Gen 2... I keep reminding myself that

Epix Pro Gen2/Fenix 7 Pro - would you buy this watch again or went for other brand/model?
Epix Pro Gen 2 (51mm, DLC). For me it feels absolutely great and does more things I wanted it to do. 10/10 would buy again, especially now since the price dropped. Navigation and battery life is what I wanted this watch for - I like to do very long hikes and with all systems deployed my watch advert

Garmin users are getting screwed, and most don’t even realize it
Define "abandoned"? I just got a firmware update on my 4 year old Epix Gen 2...either this week or last. If you're buying a consumer electronic product because you want new future features - you're an ignorant consumer. Buy products for the features they have WHEN YOU'RE BUYING IT. Nevermind - readi

Same. I bought a Garmin Epix Gen 2 Sapphire Titanium about 8 months ago - love it and imagine I will keep it for at least a few more years.

Honestly I checked their roadmap on the official site for Epix Pro Gen2 while buying, and I was so surprised when they dropped the strength coach later. Well, this was my last Garmin, they made us feel like a fool for trusting their word. Never again.

I have the Epix Gen 2 and have been very happy with it. 3 years on and the battery is not what it first was, but that happens with all tech devices. I get that newer models and more updates , but my watch still does everything I paid for initially. If I was to upgrade again now, the only tangible fe

Garmin’s rotating crown may support clicks and gestures
Yeah I'm honestly not a fan of this but I can see it being useful for Garmin models that only come with 2-3 physical buttons. Hopefully, they'll keep the rotating crown to those product lines only. I've had my Epix Gen 2 for nearly 4 years and the 5 physical buttons work great if I'm wearing gloves

Fenix 8 Amoled Hate
A lot of people who "hates" AMOLED display does not own a current gen display. I've had original Venu and that display was not the best but my current Epix Gen 2 works mighty fine on both batt life and display brightness/readability even after 3 years with over a thousand activities.
