Thoughts on what watch to buy?
If your primary concerns are GPS and battery life, then you should check out the Garmin Enduro 3. Expensive, but worth every penny to me because those were also my primary concerns. It is a fantastic adventure watch! Very durable, excellent GPS accuracy (I’ve worn it in the Swiss Alps, rural Japan,

Coros Pace 4 x Garmin FR 165
Honestly, garmin’s bottom tier watches at over priced for what you get in comparison to Coros.. I had a pace 3 and pace pro, great watches and do basically the core everything you for running and basic strength training.. however I got a Garmin enduro 3 and now that I’m using Garmin it does have a b

Best smartwatch for a mountain guide?
I'd recommend the Garmin Enduro 3 over the Fenix. They have a longer battery life, are cheaper and have almost all of the features of the Fenix. The missing features won't be missed in the backcountry.

Switching to Suunto
Switched from Garmin Enduro to Suunto Vertical 2. No regrets. Such an amazing watch. No complaints.

Crossing over…again…
I have a Garmin Enduro 3 and run ultras, but I have an AWU 3 arriving tomorrow. I'll echo another poster saying the Garmin is just plain boring. In addition, all the data you get ends up not being that useful if you really think about it. I need my Enduro only 3-4 times a year, and in reality, the A

Final Boss
That Garmin Enduro 3 must be some watch for the weight you have listed for it. Typo? If you do not already own it, then I would save money and get something less expensive. Another typo is probably the weight of those trekking poles. If not, then I want some. :)

Coros pace pro
MP3 is overrated. Just get a running belt, take phone and then skip tracks with headphones.. I’ll never understand why folks care about music playing on a watch especially since it’s not even a cellular watch.. Past that, pace pro is legit and does everything you really need. My battery would last 1

Thoughts on what watch to buy?
This is what I'd recommend as well. For what OP wants, it would be hard for me to justify spending double the price on a Garmin Enduro 3 (top comment), even if money isn't a huge concern. I imagine the Enduro 3 is probably better, but the Apex checks all of the boxes and more. I have the Apex 2 Pro

Which watch should I choose for trail running?
Look for a deal on a Garmin Enduro 2 or 3. They are imo the best trailrunning watch by far in terms of features and battery life for the money and should be well within your budget. Lot of people mentioning Coros here, but imo getting an older Enduro 2 with 2x or more the GPS battery life (and unlim

Amazfit Cheetah and the new updates. Life cycle too short?
I also have a Cheetah and it is still a solid watch, but the design is aesthetically hideous to me - the case and band are a terrible color and the case does not take kindly to quick fit bands as it is an odd shape. I have a Garmin Enduro 1 that still works great, but for the cost of a new Garmin I
