Classic Pro

A 50ml boiler for 40ml shots will do that... GCP was good 15 years ago when there was $400 Gaggia or the much more expensive 4-figure E61 group option. Now we've got loads of good machines to choose from.

After a year and a half, the steam valve on my Gaggia Classic Pro started squeaking. Repair? Impossible, only replacement. Sure, Gaggia is selling a new machine, but you ultimately have to consider the manufacturing quality as well. Or you could just focus on the price and the look.

I have seen teardowns of both the Profitec and Rancilio - being a larger size with significantly more room to work with - the installation sound be much easier than the GCP E24. In the Gaggia you can only access from a confined space from above.

Wow that’s the price I remembered when I was browsing 4 years ago. Now going for 995$. I like everything about it , the style , the components , articulating steam wand , not leaking hopefully , brass boiler , 300cc vs. 100cc of the GCP, you have to buy so much stuff for the Gaggia to make it up to

It's cool but this is Gaggia's response to pretty much every user of the Classic Pro that modded it and got similar outcome but for way cheaper. Now they tripled the price (1000€) and made it so you cannot modify anything at all. Most users won't appreciate either of those two things. The next step

Damn that’s crazy. Doesn’t the Profitec have a much bigger boiler and much better build quality? I prefer the colors and sizes of the GCP, but if I was happy with just black, I would go with the big boiler and the superior build quality in a second. This will have that same leaky steam valve that is
