First off - they are all basically fine. And don't overspend. Secondly - do you want an auto-frother or a steam wand? In generel, ranked is considered: Philips/Gaggia/Saeco < Delonghi < Jura + perhaps Kitchenaid/Miele - but taste can vary a lot. Juras are nice, but expensive. And harder to maintain

To put it into perspective. Espresso quality is all about dose and extraction. Your vertuo machine dosed 5-7 gm for espresso pod, 10gm for a double and 17gm for a 7oz coffee. Medium Dark roast, just to the point where there's a little oil developing on the surface of the beans, 20g in 40g out, from an origin in Peru that has deep dark chocolate walnut molasses notes. Many beans ge

Gaggia Brera! No bells and whistles. Makes espresso and "lungo" espresso which is pretty much coffee.

I’ve had the Gaggia Brera for nearly a decade. It’s good enough I can’t get rid of it. I just replaced the gaskets and it’s brewing like new. But if it were to die I’d spend a couple hundred bucks more and get a Delonghi with one if their tank based milk steamers. The wand on the Brera is useless wh
