What's up with the hype around fuji cameras? Is the nikon Z50ii dual lens kit worth it over the XT30iii 13-33 mm one?

Fuji is certainly compelling in the APSC space, but having evaluated both I went for a Z50 years ago with various lenses and can say this: The kit lenses from Nikon really are mindblowing for the price/weight, the 16-50 and 50-250 are so easy to carry around and very sharp, this is one thing that dr

Can you critique the accessories I bought for my new camera?

Understood that budget is tight right now but use the strap that came in the box with your X-T30 III. Every Fujifilm camera ships with an included strap and while it is not the most comfortable it is reliable enough to keep your camera safe until you can afford a proper upgrade. A PHP 250++ strap on

Help me choose a camera for a newbie hobbyist

The X-T30 III kit is a pretty good choice for a newbie. I prefer the black version, but unfortunately, Fujifilm's paint is a bit fragile—it scratches easily regardless of the color. I've seen people wrap their camera bodies and lenses in 3M skins, but I’m not sure if that affects the cooling.

x100vi vs. gr iii vs. Zf - as a parent

Oh you asked for it... It's story therapy time. I struggled for the past 6 years to find an affordable lightweight yet capable camera for weekend adventures, family, hiking, & travel. Pre 2018 I was using a Canon 7D Mark II for professional work and had a Canon M50 for personal use. After the 7D shu

Looking for a Fuji “fun camera” – X-T30 III vs X-M5 vs X-Pro2?

I started at a7iii, went through the same thing as you. I got the x100vi. I didn't feel there was much difference in the quality of photos. Fujifilm is cool, though the sims get a bit normy and look like everyone else's photos so remember that. But the key to me was that i no longer used the a7iii b

Canon EOS R 50v or Fujifilm XT30 III?

Before anyone can help you decide, we need more info: What do you plan to shoot? Why do you want to swap? What's the R50 not doing for you? Both are solid cameras but have different strengths:Canon R50 - Better autofocus (Dual Pixel CMOS AF II), great for video, lighter/smaller, Canon RF lens ecosys

Beginner travel camera?

Fujifilms make excellent travel cameras, they're small, lightweight, sexy, well built and have great image quality - maybe most importantly they have a huge lineup of compact lenses. Check out r/Fujifilm to see how popular they are for travel photography. They also have the famous Fuji film simulati

Help me surprise my brother with the best camera under $1000 after he was laid off to AI?

Ermmm… with that price range, if you’re dead set on staying below $1,000, I’d realistically suggest APS-C cameras since the lenses are cheaper too. If you buy used, I’m pretty sure you can stay around $1,000 for both body + lens. I see a lot of full-frame suggestions in the comments, but honestly, i

Beginner Photo-Only: Nikon Z50 II vs Fujifilm X-T30 III, thoughts?

I'm a diehard Nikonian and have the Fujifilm X-T30 II. It's a fantastic camera and the colour science is the best. It's so small I added the Fujifilm OEM grip. Take a look at these video reviews: T30 v3 https://youtu.be/ztuzdCXjvx4?si=TE1ewbA0Gm4BxyEm Z50 v2 https://youtu.be/D5Qm_RPoQxg?si=jdg6MB_-ugk

What is it with Nikon and Social Media

I stared my photography journey with Sony (A6000, A7ii, A7rii, A7riv). I didn’t used to have eye tracking AF with my first two cameras and I was ok with it until I jumped to the newer cameras. While I was impressed with Sony AF speeds, I was not impressed with the color science. I’ve always shot RAW
