Birthday gift help! Which option would you pick?

This is good advice. I shoot with a Fujifilm X-T30 (i.e. cropped sensor) for day to day stuff, and a Canon R6 for sports. Both are good for what I need them for. Fuji is bloody mint for street photography, or just Aunt Jenny's birthday or whatever. The full frame on the Canon is overkill for that st

Ricoh GRIV: Right for Me?

Looking at your selection of photos I assume you prefer tighter focal lengths. Maybe instead of gr4 look into gr3x. Other option but not as compact is fujifilm cameras, x-t50 and x-e5 are small and you can put any lens on them or you can check out x100vi for a compact with built in lens. Also recent

Considering Switching to Lumix from Fujifilm

Fujifilm has more fun factor for sure. I really like the user experience. I traded an x-s20 for an S5II. I have also owned an X-H1 and X-T30 II. I do miss the smaller size and more affordable lenses, but I didn’t really care for the film simulations and if you mainly develop raw files, I will say th

what fujifilm should i get as a beginner

If the lack of a viewfinder doesn't bother you, go for the Fujifilm X-M5. You can pay a small amount extra to get the X-T30 III, which has a viewfinder. Both are great.

Nikon Z50II for beginners?

That's the thing, there is no "the answer", you asked which people would recommend, and they're both great options, so people here much more likely to recommend the Nikon without any real objectivity. But even with objectivity, it's going to be hard to make a choice between them and is likely to com

Should I buy a FujiFilm?

Fujifilm cameras don’t take those photos, the photographer does. Fuji does make amazing cameras that are (in my opinion, at least) great as first proper cameras. I’d recommend starting with an X-T3 or X-T30 + XF 23mm f2 lens, if you can swing that. If not, the X-T1 or X-T2 are great too

XT30 II or XT30 III

I have an x-t30 ii and see zero reason to go for the iii model. The iii‘s autofocus is marginally better, and that film sim dial is gimmicky. The film sim dial only contains some of the film sims. Instead, on the ii, I have set one of the buttons for film sims that lets me instantly access all of th

Birthday gift help! Which option would you pick?

I don't think you need to go up to 1500 GBP. Check out the Fuji XT-30 II. It's 800 pounds base price, or this kit comes with a lens for another 100 pounds. I have this camera (though different lenses) and it's phenomenal. I can't imagine you would benefit from the features of some of the more expens

Nikon zf - AF newbie question

I have 425 points of AF on my Fujifilm X-T30 II and can confidently state, it's not even close to as being as good on the AF on my some of my Nikon DSLRs.
