Vote for X2D here and I did read your whole post. 😆 Your concerns about third party and support are completely valid. If Bambu made a full tool changer like the U1 I’d say go for that. You can look at the Flashforge Creator 5 Pro for another option, but it also has exposed spools. Bambu’s H2S swaps

Tech has really come a long way, but to be future proof i think you should get a toolchanger printer like the Snapmaker U1 or Flashforge Creator 5 Pro. These will really save you lots of time and money that would otherwise be spent on waste poop and nozzle purges

Ad5x or kobra x is the best two entry level options for affordability. If you want to spend more money I would get a snapmaker u1 or wait for the flashforge creator 5 pro. Both are tool changers and are far more efficient and waste almost nothing.
