Fuck you Flashforge
Feck it lads..... all this adding fluff or AI and locking us all down. As a Prusa owner and Flashforge (AD5X), some contrast with their eco systems. I am going to shift the AD5X off for a new home, step over the Creator 5 Pro and move to Snapmaker U1. We gotta make a stand.

Snapmaker U1 Top Cover: The beta test blog post is a victory lap, not a fix list!
The Creator 5 Pro is interesting hardware but worth researching before jumping. FlashForge runs proprietary locked firmware (no Klipper) and their historical software development has lagged behind competitors significantly. The criticism is basically: if you're going to lock down the ecosystem, you

Looking for a good multicolor printer
I would look into the Snapmaker U1 or the Flashforge Creator 5 pro. The U1 has been out for a while and has a good community and good support. More Creator 5 reviews are trickling out now. Both of these machines are Tool Changers. This means that they can print multicolor with little to no waste, un

Upgrading from the A1 to either the P2S or the X2D... Opinions?
Worth noting that for basically the price of an X2D combo you could get the flashforge creator 5 pro, which is an enclosed four-head toolchanger with the same build volume, 320C nozzle and a heated chamber. If you think there's a chance that you want to do multicolour in any serious way in the futur

Creator 5 proってそんなに危険かなぁ?
That is completely up to you to decide! I personally don’t want to pay $1300 Canadian so I can stand in front of my printer to make sure it doesn’t catch on fire. I still have a Creator 5 Pro coming but I won’t be leaving it unattended until I, or FlashForge comes up with a fix. And btw, I really do

X2D vs P2S
X2D has the dual nozzle which I think is well worth it. It also has finer pitched belts that reduce VFA’s. I can’t see any reason to go with the P2s other than it’s $100 cheaper. Also I would seriously consider the Flashforge Creator 5 Pro or the snapmaker u1. I also have a p1s but for multicolor pr

I canceled my Creator 5 Pro, and honestly you should too.
I get all that, I really do. A lot of people in 3D printing are competent enough to print a purge bin and empty it regularly. But it is not the user’s job to fix safety issues on a 3D printer. It’s not the user’s job to fix any issue on a 3D printer anymore. That era ended when the Ender 3 stopped b

Looking for people's thoughts/opinions on the Flashforge Creator 5 (Pro)
I also have the Creator 5 Pro on order. My concern is the slicer. I am in a locked-down situation and generally just run portable apps, like Orca Portable. Getting the IT department to support the FlashForge Orca may be a problem. They suggest that I create a small network that is isolated from the

Looking for a good multicolor printer
In the below 1500 range, I would suggest the Snapmaker u1.Base printer is 900.The top is 150, and won't ship for 4-5 months. He can use a plastic tote in the meantime (we're all doing that).Hardened nozzles are super helpful. The base nozzles can't handle glow in the dark, wood infused, and so on as

Bambu P2S v X2D v Snapmaker U1
I'm in a similar situation and am waiting a little longer to see how the flashforge creator 5 pro or sovol m1d turn out once the dust settles. The C5P but open source would be perfect but there seems to be some subpar design choices and initial teething problems with the firmware. Hopefully flashfor
