Can't help you with that. I have no problem with the big carryon bags. But: Get a Fjällräven Kånken Laptop 15¨ or 13" for personel item (in front of seat). And use that to bring with you when you have a hotel/hostel/etc. and walk around and explore cities, sites etc. Nice size for extra cloth, water
