Is upgrading an espresso machine actually worth the money?
I've got a very expensive setup (ECM Syncronika | Fiorenzato AllGround Sense) and while the shots are better than on my first setup (Lelit Grace and 1zpresso J Max), it wasn't the main driving force for the upgrade. I made the upgrades for workflow and ease of use:- manual 1zpresso grinder to Eureka

Grinder for ease of workflow?
If you go thorough a bag of beans at a time, you'll have the easiest workflow with a hopper grinder, and even easier if it grinds by weight. Check out Eureka Libra or Fiorenzato AllGround Sense. If those are too expensive, then grind-by-time with a Eureka Specialita. If you will be mixing up beans a

Grinder needed!
I absolutely love my Fiorenzato All Ground Sense grinder. Upgraded from a Niche Zero about a year ago and the GBW workflow has been a game changer. I wouldn’t go back to single dosing.

Help choose SD grinder [$600 to $900]
If you want to single dose, then DF64, CF64V, Timemore 064s, DF83V, or Timemore 078s. If you want to grind-on-demand with a hopper, then Eureka Mignon Libra 65AP or (if you can bust your budget) Fiorenzato All Ground Sense.

Machine Recommendations Pls [Budget $2000]
I have a Fiorenzato Allground which is great for me, second hand for a decent price. To be honest I have the timed version because I'm not to critical and the coffee tastes good. The allground sense is identical, but does gbw. But people have great experience with Eureka (Libra and Atom w), Mazzer m

Upgrade path or straight to endgame discussion
ECM Sync II and Fiorenzato AllGround Sense. Loved the look of the LM Micra - beautiful machine, excellent build quality and reliability. Couldn’t pull the trigger though as it felt too expensive for a machine that is comparatively light on features. Ended up with the ECM Sync II and love it. Heats u

Grinder with Hopper or single-dose?
The disadvantage of a hopper grinder with a timer (e.g. Eureka Specialita) is that you have to figure out the correct time to give you your desired dose. This requires quite a bit of trial and error. You can eliminate that problem by spending more for a grind-by-weight grinder such as Baratza Sette

Mahlkönig E64 WS news here...
The atom w65 has a lot of retention and you have to unscrew a lot of screws to access the burr and there are huge gaps around the motor(ground can get into other parts) Fiorenzato all ground sense has better built quality and less retention and super easy to clean the burr. And you can use a single

How to choose between Fiorenzato AllGround Sense vs Eureka Atom 75 GBW (or 65) [$1500]
The Fiorenzato AllGround Sense GBW feature works very well for me and is a huge time saver. The challenge with this grinder is the adjustment process required to get consistency. It does not make needed super fine adjustments if you are chasing the perfect shot. When you do even a one click adjustme
