Help me choose a coffee grinder!! [$500 budget]
Had a Fellow Opus, don’t recommend it. The opus is all plastic, for espresso the micro adjustments are unnecessarily complicated and shortly after a year it kicked the bucket and refused to work. Local repair shops have been unable to get the part that got fried. The Ode is pourover or immersion onl

Is the Niche Zero still worth it in 2026?
probably the price difference, though i have df83v and it's the best piece of tech i own, the upgrade from fellow opus (1st gen) was astronomical. I don't think df64 would be anywhere near as different from it as fellow opus was, after a certain point the increase in price starts to give you diminis

College Student - First Espresso Machine [<$1000]
I would highly recommend checking your Facebook market place to see if anything nice is just sitting used. Otherwise, I think a breville bambino with a nice grinder would be excellent. It also will take up less counter space. I would recommend not getting the fellow opus as your grinder though. I be

Fellow Espresso Series 1 - first impressions
Agree. Fellow products look great on my countertop. But the Opus grinder clogged terribly on espresso grinds, and their customer service was equally terrible. The electric kettle is good enough for my kids and me, but it would be nice to have more ability to fine-tune the temps. And so on. I was ini

Varia VS4 + Sage / Breville Bambino plus - needing a 54mm dosing cup
Thanks. I usually have medium roast beans. I’ll give those settings a try. Was having issues with my fellow opus lately getting things dialed in, so I am hoping the varia will help. Otherwise something is wrong with my bambino.

Fellow Opus 2 First Impressions
Just got one today. I’m super confused. Is the Opus 2 not for medium-light roasts? Im brewing espresso with the fellow drop profile for JBC Twisted Espresso. Had to set grind on Opus 2 to 0 to get even close and it brewed 10 seconds shorter than the profile goal and tells me to grind finer. Is there

Ran the Fellow Opus through a DiFluid Omni 55 times.
I would actually suggest grinding the fellow opus into tiny bits approximately suitable for Turkish coffee. That would be a better use for it than as an espresso grinder.

Buying First Espresso Machine [$1000]
Fellow grinders don't fare that well with espresso. The Opus Gen 1, for the price, really isn't that great and can struggle with retention or consistency. As for the Ode, it's a really good grinder, but the dial just isn't suited for espresso. Even with SSP burrs, you won't be able to dial in very w

Espresso coffee grinder under [200€]
You don't want the Baratza Encore (the original) for espresso--it wasn't built with espresso in mind and isn't the best for it. Instead, you would want the Baratza Encore ESP, a re-designed form that specifically was developed for espresso use. And, many people think that the Baratza Encore ESP > th
