Had a Fellow Opus, don’t recommend it. The opus is all plastic, for espresso the micro adjustments are unnecessarily complicated and shortly after a year it kicked the bucket and refused to work. Local repair shops have been unable to get the part that got fried. The Ode is pourover or immersion onl

I also have both and, like you, do not plan on buying an espresso machine. But I've had a lot of fun experimenting between a conical (Opus) vs. a flat (Ode 2) burr grinder. So I'm keeping both for now to experiment with different styles of coffee. The Opus was a great deal when I bought my Fellow Ai

I would highly recommend checking your Facebook market place to see if anything nice is just sitting used. Otherwise, I think a breville bambino with a nice grinder would be excellent. It also will take up less counter space. I would recommend not getting the fellow opus as your grinder though. I be

That said I don’t think you need to go super expensive of you can’t afford. I think the fellow opus is good enough. Water because brewed coffee is mostly w

Agree. Fellow products look great on my countertop. But the Opus grinder clogged terribly on espresso grinds, and their customer service was equally terrible. The electric kettle is good enough for my kids and me, but it would be nice to have more ability to fine-tune the temps. And so on. I was ini

Fellows Opus - $480 or soDon't let the plastic body put you off as they spent all the money on high quality conical stainless burrs. Not a lot of retention and once dialled in really great crema and espresso.

The problem is what appears to be pre-ground coffee. Pre-ground coffee is made for drip coffee machines and not much else, it’s far too coarse for espresso. There is pre-ground coffee made specifically for espresso machines but even that is sometimes ground too coarsely for espresso. Your best bet h

I got a chance to play around with one of these at a fellow es1 class. let me tell you, for $200, there is nothing on the market even close to it. the stepless adjustment is maybe a touch too firm, but the action is smooth and its the right balance between dialing in to exactly where you want it, bu

es el fellow Opus, no el Ode. Y si, llega a espresso y mas, ya lo tengo. Super rápido, nada molesto el ruido
