Help me choose a coffee grinder!! [$500 budget]
Had a Fellow Opus, don’t recommend it. The opus is all plastic, for espresso the micro adjustments are unnecessarily complicated and shortly after a year it kicked the bucket and refused to work. Local repair shops have been unable to get the part that got fried. The Ode is pourover or immersion onl

Is the Niche Zero still worth it in 2026?
probably the price difference, though i have df83v and it's the best piece of tech i own, the upgrade from fellow opus (1st gen) was astronomical. I don't think df64 would be anywhere near as different from it as fellow opus was, after a certain point the increase in price starts to give you diminis

Best grinder for Breville Bambino under [$250]?
New Fellow Opus 2! $200. Mine has been great for espresso with my Breville dual boiler.

College Student - First Espresso Machine [<$1000]
I would highly recommend checking your Facebook market place to see if anything nice is just sitting used. Otherwise, I think a breville bambino with a nice grinder would be excellent. It also will take up less counter space. I would recommend not getting the fellow opus as your grinder though. I be

Is it better to spend more on beans or on equipment for home espresso? [No budget]
I think grinder, water, beans and then equipment Grinder because if you have a bad one with inconsistent ground size then you’ll get a bad brew. That said I don’t think you need to go super expensive of you can’t afford. I think the fellow opus is good enough. Water because brewed coffee is mostly w

I have a Fellow Opus and an Ode Gen 2, which do I return and which do I keep?
I also have both and, like you, do not plan on buying an espresso machine. But I've had a lot of fun experimenting between a conical (Opus) vs. a flat (Ode 2) burr grinder. So I'm keeping both for now to experiment with different styles of coffee. The Opus was a great deal when I bought my Fellow Ai

Where can I get quality ground coffee?
For drip coffee, I wouldn't get anything cheaper than the OXO conical burr grinder: https://www.amazon.ca/Brew-Conical-Burr-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B0CM9Z6HYF Edit: Wait wait this one's cheaper and also a real burr grinder! https://www.amazon.ca/Bodum-Bistro-Electric-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B0043095WW If you're

Gifted an incredible machine but can’t afford a top tier grinder to match…what’s good enough? [$250]
I started with a manual KINGrinder K6, very affordable for what it offers. After a year, I got tired of hand grinding, so was using it with a drill for another year, which is a great conversation starter with the guests, haha. Then I found the Fellow Opus in a discount for 150 EUR shipped, and am ve

Electric Conical Burr Grinder for a Beginner [Flexible Budget: $200-900]
the fellow opus gen 2 is a total redesign from the fairly poorly received gen 1 with great espresso capabilities and the grind range to handle all the way to pour over. it doesn't ship till mid May but we have a demo unit at work and it's been really impressive for the price point of $199.
