Espresso Series 1

Love mine, but I did get the extended warranty (new product, not sure how it will hold up). Some small(ish) known issues though... Volumetric mode is set badly out of the box and needs adjustment if you want to use it (I don't, so it's just off anyway), there's a fair amount of water waste at startu

Anecdotal data point. I would have sold my Lelit Bianca and bought the Espresso Series 1 asap if my Aiden experience wasn’t as bad. Such a fragile design is already unacceptable for a $350 machine and I currently don’t trust Fellow with a $1000+ machine.

I had ZERO luck with Gitare AB. Complete waste. It was the most frustrating coffee I have ever tried to dial in. I’d definitely be interested in this! The idea of a database of crowdsourced ES1 shot profiles outside of what Fellow provides is exciting! Just hope that the update to the app is pushed out soon…

Fellow Series 1 could be a great value for the money, or it could be a total bust. AFAIK, no independent reviewer has used it outside of a demo that was carefully orchestrated by Fellow. But if you believe in the adage "you get what you pay for", FS1 is highly unlikely to perform in the same league

I am very tempted by this machine, and seeing people like yourself doing things like this makes me even more excited. With the Wendougee Lita and what Fellow has done with the Series 1, all of the advanced features are becoming available for the masses.

If you're looking at the Fellow ES1, have you considered the WPM Primus? Much better build quality, and fairly programmable.

If you want to get the most out of your light to medium-light beans, the Fellow ES1 and Decent are the two clear winners. If anyone tells you that pre-infusion and flow control don't make a difference for light roasts, they don't know what they're talking about. I owned a Decent before buying a Mini
