Wife says it's time, what's the best robot vacuum?
I like my Eufy X10 Omni, a lot of bang for the buck and I especially like never having to mop. I do, however, have to maintain the little guy. I'm something of a vacuum cleaner myself.

Best robot vacuum for pet hair? UK based.
With 2 cats + 2 dogs, you absolutely need rubber brushes (not bristles) and a self-emptying dock. Bristles will get clogged with fur in days. The mopping ones are good if they lift the mop pad automatically on carpets – otherwise you'll get wet rugs. For your situation, Eufy X10 Pro Omni (~$500/£400

Best bang-for-buck robot vacuum for Mother’s Day gift?
For gardening dirt + hardwood + a bad back, I'd 100% go with a self-emptying robot vacuum. Bending down to empty it all the time kinda defeats the purpose lol. Eufy X10 Pro Omni ($500) is probably the best value. Strong suction, rubber brushes, self-emptying dock — super low maintenance. If there's

What’s something you spent money on that actually improved your life long-term?
Mine is the Eufy X10 Pro. I think I got it for like $500 during Black Friday. Watch the prices as they do drop at times. They can be crazy expensive too, but honestly a basic vacuum and mop function is plenty. And you can get replacement parts on Amazon for like $10

Robot mop/vacuum recommendations?
Under $1000 with mapping, top picks: Dreame L50 Ultra ($850) – best all-rounder. Self-empties, washes/dries mop pads, great mapping. Roborock Qrevo Curv ($700) – best navigation and obstacle avoidance. Mop lifts on carpets. Eufy X10 Pro Omni (~$500) – best value. All three have LiDAR mapping, self

What is an appliance/gadget you have that has significantly improved your quality of life?
The sensors in many of the robo vacs have obstacle avoidance for things like animal poop, phone cables kids toys… I only run mine while I’m home, so I do a quick walk about before I set her loose….personally am in love with my Eufy X10. It vacuums and mops (and not just a micro fibre cloth that smea

Recommendation on vacuum
Small apartment + two cats (one long hair) – yeah, robots can be hit or miss. If you stick with a robot, get rubber brushes and self-emptying. Dreame L50 Ultra ($850) is a beast. Eufy X10 Pro Omni ($500) is solid for less. But if your back is the real issue, a lightweight cordless stick vac like D
