Squirrel nest box video advice

Very cute squirrel. Seems pretty happy to me. Can you supply external power? I'm not familiar with a battery powered continuous recording cam. There are some timelapse options, recording to a SD card or hard drive in a base station. But doesn't sound like a great fit for what you want to do. You can

Are solar powered cams worth it? Which work best?

I have a Eufy SoloCam S220 and have been very pleased. Even in the winter with not much sun I never see the battery less than 75%. I have mine on the garage (SE facing) about 2 feet down from the eave. Low enough to not be shaded by the eave, but high enough to get shielded from the snow. I also hav

Anyone switched from Nest/Google cameras to Eufy or vice-versa?

I have a eufy solo cam S220 in my backyard. It has solar built in. I get false positives for people when the wind blows very hard. (Grill cover) but other than its rock solid. Has good night vision. I’m getting what I paid for. I am aware of the security concerns but it’s pointed away from my house.

Security SoloCam S340

Since nobody seems to be answering your question. It really depends on how much motion goes on around the area your camera sees, but if you have a decently populated area and get some 50 - 100 recorded events per day, I would say it will last maybe 2 - 3 weeks with just motion recordings. I had a So

Ring to Eufy switch?

I use both Eufy and Tapo, but Eufy is my preferred ecosystem. Eufy Recommendations Outdoors: S4 Solocam – Best overall. Triple-lens (4K + 2×2K PTZ), solar + battery, and true 24/7 if wired. Quick-swap battery is a huge plus (will outlive any camera with a built-in batter as long as other hardware la

Do they all require a subscription?

Thing on the left is the HomeBase. SoloCam S220 is what I have...four of them, two C210, one doorbell (dual camera model), and a HomeBase. I added a 1TB compatible hard drive to the HomeBase. If you go Eufy, make sure the cameras and HomeBase are compatible. Eufy has upgraded their systems several t

Is anyone happy with their Eufy system?

One issue is with the MicroSD card went bad in my Eufy garage door opener... Too lazy climb the ladder to replace the MicroSD card for about a month or so. :-) My biggest "issue" is the SoloCam S220's solar panels don't charge up as quick as an external (3rd Party) Solar panels (sealed with a bead o
