Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16k - Water Washable
I'll just assume it bots or something, but for whatever reason, this thread is just filled with wrong answers. Well, technically the Wait time before print suggestion is correct, but is still useless because it fails to provide any guidelines for settings or why it works. Rest / Wait time is why you

What is the BambuLab A1 of resin printing?
At the price point, the Saturn 4 Ultra 12k or 16k are $800-1200 of machine for $400-500. It and Heygears (at that $1200+ price point) do the most to absolve the user of tuning a dozen speeds and feeds for the Z-axis movement / release & retract cycle. Heygears does this by having their slicing and p

New to Resin - which saturn?
Generally speaking the Saturn 4 Ultra 16k is the best option for most people. I investigated and wrote the original post explaining the 3-bit grayscale deficiency and it is still present. I also bought a S4U 16k and subsequently worked out a dithering method with UVTools to restore a significant por

Resin printing "arms race" over?
Same as before. Expect 12 months between cycles. This year was odd, printers got released on a shorter cycle. The Saturn 4 Ultra 16K was probably supposed to be the Saturn 5, but Elegoo released it early (only 7-8 months after the Saturn 4/4 Ultra). Probably because Uniformation was releasing the 16

6 months of failed prints troubleshooting Saturn 4 Ultra with Elegoo support
You need Rest After Retract (Chitubox) / Wait time before cure (UVTools name) using UVTools to increase it for the first 10-20 layers to 10-20s. On the lower UV power S4U 12k, I am running base layers around 12-15s exposure for all of 3 base layers and 3-5 transition. UVTools is required as none of

Layer lines.... Going snaller layer height vs Antialiasing?
It's a Saturn 4 Ultra 16k, and I used the top rated 30um profile in lychee for Elegoo ABS-like 3.0 8K, and printed solid with medium grid supports and manual orientation. I also used the GPU based anti aliasing option. Total print time was 10 hours! Full disclosure this is with a coat of primer. Att

Been having some issues on a print with my saturn 4 ultra
Just going to copy-paste my comment from a couple weeks ago on the matter of S4U dead LCDs: For you next LCD, definitely look into use Rest After Retract (Chitubox) / Wait time before cure (UVTools name) via UVTools for the first 20 layers or so like the following settings: https://www.reddit.com/r/

What's the most "plug & play", "set it & forget it" resin printer for a newbie who's not interested in taking up 3D printing as a separate hobby?
Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra is my choice. I send the print, and I sleep soundly knowing that it will perform its task flawlessly. If any failure occurs, it’s my fault, not the printer’s.

Saturn 4 Ultra 16K, over a year of troubleshooting and I still can't fix it.
The S4U springloaded plate means that wait times are even more mandatory than regular printers. The light turns on way before the resin has settled and the springs have found home. This means you get a layer thicker than supposed especially at 20um, your bottom layers are probably closer to 0.5 or e

Saturn 4 Ultra 16k - keep or wait for Saturn 5?
No, these are not graphics cards. There's a limit to their technological advancement. 16k print is close to injection moulding, any higher resolution is approaching gimmick status. Unless they revamp the tilt vat and improve fail detection, I can't see what tech improvements are to be made. I'm here
