I have my own (mini) Rocky! 🥰
Thank you! I currently have an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra printer, which I recently upgraded to from a much smaller Elegoo Mars (first generation). It's been pretty much foolproof since I bought it, once I'd manually levelled it. I also have the Elegoo Mercury Plus v3 wash and cure station, which has hug

What is the BambuLab A1 of resin printing?
At the price point, the Saturn 4 Ultra 12k or 16k are $800-1200 of machine for $400-500. It and Heygears (at that $1200+ price point) do the most to absolve the user of tuning a dozen speeds and feeds for the Z-axis movement / release & retract cycle. Heygears does this by having their slicing and p

3D Printing Miniatures
Basically, uncured UV resin is toxic for your skin and can lead to itchyness, rashes or an allergic reaction. So you must wear gloves when handling it in liquid form (which is what you pour in the vat) and then rinse the printed models in 99% IPA and given them a final brief UV cure to get rid of an

New player— great experience with models
I got the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16k, but mostly for the slightly larger print area, heated vat as it gets too cold here in the winter to print in my garage otherwise, and wifi connectivity to make life simpler. I’d imagine you could get similar quality and experience from the Mars line, the Saturn 3

Saturn 4 Ultra 16k - keep or wait for Saturn 5?
No, these are not graphics cards. There's a limit to their technological advancement. 16k print is close to injection moulding, any higher resolution is approaching gimmick status. Unless they revamp the tilt vat and improve fail detection, I can't see what tech improvements are to be made. I'm here

Saturn 4 Ultra Horrible Build Quality, Better Alternatives?
Elegoo sales revenue went from 118M in 2022 to 180-200M in 2023 due almost entirely to the Saturn 4 Ultra 12k. They've sold hundreds of thousands of the machine. Most of the hate and horror stories clearly come from two groups: a) those opposed to people outside their chosen circle using resin print

Looking to replace my current printers. Need input from professionals
Elegoo Mars 3 Pro, Saturn 3 and Saturn 4 Ultra owner, been running them for the past 4 years +. (Starting slowly with the Mars and building up to the later ones. ) I use Chitubox Pro for slicing. Only had an issue once with a power switch pcb which Elegoo was happy to provide after verifying it was

Suddenly getting these "flakes" in my prints, could use help.
I was going to ask if it was a Saturn 4 Ultra with the crazy thick raft you've got going on in the first picture. When you let it print rafts that far over thickness (what is that 1.7-2.1mm for a 1mm raft?). Your LCD has pressure spot failures, and it is likely because the build plate and overly thi

WARNING: Saturn 4 Ultra LCD dead prematurely. Elegoo admits "pressure damage" but denies warranty citing "3-month rule" on a known design flaw.
I've written up a longish examination of this issue -- your rest time is too low at the start of the print: https://www.reddit.com/r/ElegooSaturn/comments/1jwcwg2/fixing_saturn_4_ultra_elephant_foot_and/ The easiest improvement to LCD wear going forward is to substantially increase the Rest After Retract

Whats the consensus on Saturn 4 Ultra?
Problem is with anything. Look online or in subs and only people who post are those having issues, wether its user error or printer. The people who have no issues and it just works dont post. So hard to make a decision based on that. I was scared when i first looked at sub and all i saw was people h
