Roku Used 8.8GB in Less Than One Day While Totally Idle — What the Hell Is It Doing?

Recently added eero 6+ mesh. Randomly looked through daily usage and saw the idle Roku absolutely blasting through data - over 50% of our entire household usage. I’m 100% positive it has not been used all day. I’m aware there are lots of ads and other background usage, but it’ll probably top 10 gigs...

Finally ditched my regular router and got a UniFi router

I finally upgraded from my eero 6 router to a UniFi Dream Router 7 and also got a 5 port 2.5 switch. I upgraded to have somewhat better control and access to network insights and not have to pay a subscription to protect my network. Having some upgrade paths in the future is also a plus since I can ...

IT upgrade is underway!

We are upgrading from the Eero 6 system to a Ubiquiti UCG Ultra, 2 6 Pro APs, a 24 port PoE switch and 48 port non PoE. I figured it was also a good time to run some new CAT 6 to both new and existing locations. In all there will be 30 drops around the house with the capacity for more if we want. Th...

Eero Pro 6E and Eero 6+ Review: Fast and Easy

## TL;DR:

* The eero 6+ is a gigabit-capable dual-band mesh kit * The eero Pro 6E is a tri-band Wi-Fi 6E mesh kit * They’re very fast, and this review is very long

In March 2022, eero released two new models: the eero 6+ and eero Pro 6E. These are similar to the existing eero 6 and eero Pro 6 from...

We need to talk about Eero.

Dear Eero Family, Fans & new friend @📷[**JohnRossJr**](https://www.reddit.com/user/JohnRossJr) \-

To Eero, my beloved:

**We need to face the facts - Eero 6 / Pro is broken.**

As of this writing, it's clear to anyone who had the privilege of testing WiFi 6 before on a compatible device with 1 Gig...

* Netgear R7000 + TP Link Archer C9 + TP Link RE650 * TP Link X60 Mesh * Eero 6 Mesh * Asus XD4 Mesh

Ted Cruz wants to ruin your Eeros... (not political, really!)

Ted Cruz's reconciliation bill trying to "negotiate" Trumps Big Beautiful Bill to passage wants to take away the 6 GHz band from Wifi... or at least, remove the exemption of that band.

>Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has a plan for spectrum auctions that could take frequencies away from Wi-Fi and realloc...

Skeptic turned evangelist: Eero Wifi SERIOUSLY solved all my issues

Just wanted to mention this because i was skepitcal at first but people on this sub really swear by the homekit issues being wifi issues and at least for me they were right. I used to have issues with HomePods (OG) and mini as well as switches being on 2.4ghz vs 5ghz and always being unavailable. Li...

Progress!

Slowly but surely it’s coming together. The U6 Mesh will be in the back yard with two U6 Pros in the house. Still have some keystones to build at the end of some drops and mount the APs.

FWIW that U6 Mesh is impressive on its own. Even with it in the basement I get better performance around the h...
