It’s not much but it’s honest work.

First off, I wish I would’ve gone UI years ago. I’ve had some basic to intermediate knowledge of networking. But this is a whole other level. A little backstory, few years ago toyed with the idea of going with a mesh system.

Of course I went with the most user friendly system eero, 6+ to be exact.

LIED! Try 1gb, you can go back

I should have listened to you Redditors. So many complaints about being lied to, but I was an optimist.

Ive had Frontier (took over verizon) for 14 years. Cordcut to just internet 500 for $39.99-$10 autopay discount. A while after install i used chat to ask why I wasn't given the eero pro 7, as th

Is Ubiquit stable with HomeKit?

I have had long-standing problems with HomeKit devices, mainly nanoleaf and ikea lights. I used an eero 6 router and 50+ homekit devices, 3 apple tvs and 2 HomePod minis and several motion sensors, I constantly had devices that were out of order, automations that were not working, and very often the

Amazon uk price with duty is roughly similar to Irish price 'without' duty. Why?

What is the deal with this other than just being ripped off on the .ie site?

Import fee for Amazon eero 6+ mesh Wi-Fi router on co.uk is 45 euro but on Irish site its' basically the same price. Shouldn't it be, more or less, minus the import fee of 45 euro? Isn't that the whole point of the .ie sit

Bluepeak Customers: Please Check Your Equipment!

So I signed up for Bluepeak during a promotion, 2Gbps for $80 a month. Pretty damn good deal, and haven’t had much for complaints.

HOWEVER, I was troubleshooting some slow speeds on one of my devices, and I noticed something. Bluepeak provides the eero 6+ WiFi mesh system. The issue is, according

AP7 and roaming

I just got the ap7 to replace my eero 6 pros. Loving them but am finding I have to fidget where the location of these APs need to be and that the device doesn’t switch to the closest one with the best signal. In order for me to get them to switch to a closer AP I have to reboot the device. Any

Plex on Shield can no longer handle 4k streams

A week or two back, without any changes to my network, I suddenly experience constant buffering to my mac host, on the same WiFi 6 network, with all 4k content. I went to the extreme of upgrading my network (still eero 6, but 6+ now, as I've had great experiences elsewhere) and no change. I went so

Why my adoption of Ubiquiti has been lackluster so far. Or, "why is multicast killing my network?", a cautionary tale and a plea for help from a networking noob.

I recently purchased a UDR7 and U7 Pro XG. I figured this was a pretty good place to start for a 2700 SF rectangular home. The UDR7 is at one end and the AP is near the other. This should be enough for basic coverage. If I can get the network running, I will likely add at least one more AP, mayb

Constant dropouts on FTTP

I have FTTP through Superloop. It’s been great for months. But in the past 2 days I’ve been having constant dropouts. Some lasting 10 seconds, some a few minutes. The optical light turns off on my NBN modem and obviously I loose internet connection. Superloop has been useless in there troubleshootin

Upgraded Vodafone Full Fibre from 500 to 910 but no increase in speed

Just before the big blackout we upgraded our full fibre line from 500 to 910.

Before the upgrade we were getting 520/70 and after the upgrade we are seeing exactly the same speed (tested from an Eero router connected by cable to the Vodafone hub).

Vodafone customer service have no interest as they
