Should I invest in a better bag for day hikes?
I got me a 20l Deuter speed lite pro in black this year. It’s the best bag I ever carried. Idk if it relieves back pain but very well designed and executed, esp the pockets. I LOVE the shoulder and hip pockets and the tilted water bottle pocket so I rarely need to take the bag off. To note, I cross

All Sport Backpack good for hiking?
I find that oddly for a brand that mainly caters to women, Lululemon has quite wideset straps on the backpacks! Also the lack of waistbelt is a big problem, especially given the sloppy fit. I have one for travel (and I normally do a lot of hiking on my travels) and it's pretty much been fired and de

Deuter Speedlite Pro 23 SL vs. Osprey Sirrus 24?
Well, I use the Deuter Speed Lite Pro 30L and like it a lot. I went from a much more structured Deuter backpack to the lighter Speed Lite as I wanted to reduce carrying weight, and also wondered if the much thinner hip straps would be up to it. I used it on two caminos last year and found it very co

Buying my first decent daypack/backpack.
DEUTER Speed Lite Pro might be similar to what you are looking for. I would recommend trying them out in a shop, as it comes it two different back lengths - male and female.

Beginner Advice Requested: Budget Backpacks
Take a look at the Deuter Speed Lite Pro 25L pack. Perfect for long day hikes. I have one and it's the best day pack I've ever owned. Light, comfortable, extremely durable, nice design, plenty of pockets, and $130.

Looking for a day pack that can function for running as well
I use the Deuter speedlite pro 19L this way. Its straps are modeled after a running vest, and it holds pretty snugly for running, especially with the waist belt. Sounds like exactly what you’re looking for. https://www.deuter.com/us-en/speed-lite-pro-19/4046051170183

Best backpack?
I have Deuter speed lite pro 28l and it was a costly and uncomfortable mistake. Although it says it has a frame but the foam provide no support whatsoever. The backpack is long and is either bulging is sunking into my back. Very hard to adjust so that the weight is on the hips. My next backpack will

Gear reccomendations
Based on my own experience, I'd recommend the Marmot minimalist pertex jacket. You can get it from REI and probably other vendors in the $140 range. If you want to go cheaper, you can drop down to the lighter PreCip Eco Rain Jacket for less than $100. Both are properly seam taped but use slightly di

Gossamer Gear Fast Belt reviews and daypack recs
Hey! I ended up getting a Deuter speed light pro 23 SL pack and I’m pretty happy with it. The pockets are great, the hip belt is load bearing (not quite the same as a heavy duty frame and foam belt, but still takes the burden off your shoulders significantly). And I like that it has a foam back that
