Framework Laptop 13 Pro and highlights from the Framework [Next Gen]

Its expensive but even the prebuilt 385h with 32gb of ram andd 1tb ssd is competitive with like the dell xps 14 which is 100 dollars more (and has an oled over ips) sadly i bought a macbook pro 16 m5 pro to replace my 7840u framework 13 so im skipping this

I managed to balance my Airpods upside down while bored

Ahh I'm a Dell XPS guy. Nice and quiet.... ....provided you open it up and blow the dust out every six months or so.

Why do we target Windows Software but not Mac Software

even before the M chips, which are really top tier, Macbooks were head and shoulders above pretty much every Windows laptop maker out there. Dell XPS line comes close, but it's still not quite there. and the trackpad is the best in the business and it's honestly not even close. Having recently moved

Can someone explain why 2k$+ laptop feels like a cheap plastic toy?

My daily use laptop is a Dell XPS 15 7590. Bought it in 2021 and barely used it for years until I got a job that required a laptop. Popped some fresh 16gb (32 total) sticks of ram, a 1tb ssd with a fresh custom windows 11 install. Besides the screen, it’s just as good as any modern laptop under $150

Dell Alternatives?

We've been in the same boat. Had Dell issues, started getting some Lenovo devices. Lenovo's were hit and miss, either excellent or loads of issues. Acquired a company that used HP, total nightmare. The new Dell XPS devices have been pretty good for us so far, but it's early days.

What kind of computer applications are used for engineering? Should I ditch my Mac?

Check out the College of Engineering laptop recommendations, they typically give the best advice for new students looking at computers I’m CCE, but for me a Dell XPS has been goated for both school and personal uses

What laptop do you use?

Look at more reliable brands—Asus, dell XPS, etc

UX7 368H vs U7 366H - which one to go for purely for business

First suggestion - look at something other than a surface. I’ve been loyal to surface laptops for >10 years but they don’t have any core x7 machines available here so I started looking elsewhere….. plenty of better options - eg dell xps in x7 or x9 look nice…..
