ACASIS TB501 Pro killed my T705 (4TB) — insanely fast, but I wouldn’t trust it

TRIM just tells the SSD which blocks are no longer in use so it can clean them up internally. It mainly helps with maintaining write performance over time and reducing write amplification. What I’m seeing doesn’t really match a TRIM-related issue. This wasn’t gradual slowdown or degraded writes. The

Linux 6.17 File-System Benchmarks, Including OpenZFS & Bcachefs

A quick look, he seems to run "NONE" settings for OpenZFS - what does that mean? What ashift did he select and is the NVMe reconfigured for 4k LBA (since they out of factory often are delivered with 512b)? This alone can be a somewhat large diff when doing benchmarks. Because looking at bcachefs set

Wait for 9850x3D or buy 9800x3D/9950x3D now? First time building gaming PC

Sure thing. I have one gen5 SSD (crucial T705) and one Western digital gen4 SSD. 4GB each. A few games load maybe a second faster at best on the gen5 vs. the gen4 drive. Nothing earth shattering. The reason being that the games still only use 8 cores at most when loading levels, so even though the G

X870E-H M.2 Monster Heatsink

Thanks for the response, I bought Crucial T500 2TB SSD PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2. I had orderedCrucial T705 2TB SSD PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 but read the reviews of it overheating with the heatsink so cancelled it, I don't need Gen5 speeds tbh.

Stability issues I can't pinpoint on new computer

Check your manual for your motherboard, seems you are using alot of nvme slots, which alot of boards split the lanes in some way. Make sure you are not splitting by using lets say, an nvme drive in your m.2_2 lane where it shares with your pcie lanes, (i havent looked, this is an example because its

Rate my Blender and ML Workstation PC budget is $3300 also used for 4k Gaming.

I stand by my initial rating. The motherboard you've shown me is still overpriced. Besides, the SSD in the image that you've sent me in one of your replies has an unreliable controller. Based on my rating, here's a modified build to get you started. PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel C
