[NVME] Crucial 4TB T705 PCIe 5.0 14,100mb/s NVME - 4gb DRAM - $502 (Save 60)

One of the fastest NVMEs available right now and has a large chunk of DRAM on top. This price is the same price as Gen 4 NVMEs that are half the speed and no DRAM, so seems like a good deal. Note this model seems to have issues with some motherboards, at least on release. It also gets extremely hot

[SSD - M.2] Crucial T705 4TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD - Up to 14,100 MB/s - Amazon - $389.99

Awesome! Now my games will load, checks benchmarks, 0.3 seconds faster than my much cheaper SN850x!

Need a second opinion on my pc part picker list!

For the games you’re playing your setup is overkill. You can get BO2 Zombies on steam. A 9800X3D is amazing but for the games you’re playing you wouldn’t need it. A 7800X3D will do just as well for less. If you’re adamant on the current cpu I’d prob recommend a 6000 CL30 DDR5 ram. It runs better w t

Are these parts compatible? I am a first time builder.

$1,000+ cheaper and packed with upgrades. The 270K Plus despite the name is a newer and upgraded version of a 285K Plus. 48GB of faster RAM is an upgrade over 32GB of slower RAM. A T710 is an upgrade over a T705. The motherboard includes a white heatsink for it so you don't need one that includes it

[SSD] Crucial 4TB T705 NVMe PCIe 5.0 M.2 Internal SSD - $321 (no heatsink, with heatsink available for 370)

Save yourself another 50-55 bucks and buy an Acer GM7 or Lexar NM790 instead. They're on par with the 990 Pro in TechPowerUp's real-world testing despite being DRAMless.

[SSD] Crucial T705 2TB Gen 5 NVMe $239.99 ($160 Off MSRP) - Microcenter In Store Only - Heatsink Version Same Price - YMMV on Availability

If you're wondering if you'll benefit from a faster gen 5 NVMe, chances are you won't. A good gen 4 drive like the WD SN850 (X or non-X) is more than enough for most people. You'd want a gen 5 drive for specific work applications or running AI models.

[BUNDLE] MP700 PRO 2TB with Air Cooler PCIe 5.0 SSD 12,400 Read / 11,800 write + Montech AX 140 ARB Standard Fan (140mm, White) - $150.97

Crucial T700/T705, Corsair MP700 Pro(SE), MSI M570/580 and pretty much all gen 5 drives released in 2023 uses Phison E26 controller, which uses older 12nm process node and is thus lower performance and runs really hot (12W power max). In contrast, SMI SM2508, which is used on Crucial T710, Kingston

ACASIS TB501 Pro killed my T705 (4TB) — insanely fast, but I wouldn’t trust it

TRIM just tells the SSD which blocks are no longer in use so it can clean them up internally. It mainly helps with maintaining write performance over time and reducing write amplification. What I’m seeing doesn’t really match a TRIM-related issue. This wasn’t gradual slowdown or degraded writes. The

Crucial T710 vs Samsung 9100 Pro @4TB

Crucial is part of micron the other big dram/nand producer. They offered gen5 drives way before Samsung did. The t705 and t710 are excellent drives, the later outperform the 9100pro in some tests and vice-versa, they are very comparable drives. As to which to get I would say at this level..the cheap
