Pc build for my girlfriend
I hoped she'll like the look and performance. For the CPU, I picked the 7800X3D. It's a great gaming cpu. It stays cool with a 360mm, white, RGB AIO cooler. The white motherboard has wifi and extra M.2 & DIMM slots for future upgrades. The build has 32GB of white RAM and a super-fast 2TB PCIe 4.0 SS

Here we go again....
That’s a good build overall, but I have a few minor suggestions… You’re paying a lot for that 6000/CL34 memory. You won’t notice any difference with 6000/CL36 memory and it saves you £85. Take £35 of that savings and get a larger capacity SSD. You’ll be surprised how fast you’ll fill a 1TB SSD with

$1800 pure performance gaming build. Thoughts?
Just make sure it has dram cache - especially for OS disk. It's not that important for secondary disk. I just bought Crucial T500 because of that.

Looking to build my first gaming PC for between $2.5-3k, would really appreciate your help!
Yes there is a pretty big difference, but it's one you pay for. The silicon power ssd is a good, budget-oriented nvme disk. It's older-generation, using pcie 4.0, and doesn't use the highest quality components. It is a perfectly good ssd and will give you a good gaming experience at a value price. T

SSD recommendations
Well if you really want to save money then a standard SATA 6GB/s SSD will be sufficient for gaming, in my market (UK) a 2TB example can be had for ~£100 new. They are very old technology at this point but are definitely usable for gaming, up until a few months ago I still used one and didn’t have an

New Build or upgrade (UK, £2000)
Good build but you can get 2x 16 6000 CL30 RAM for £20 cheaper than the CL36 set chosen in this list & then I’d highly recommend investing that £20 in to an SSD with a DRAM cache, which the Orico does not. Cheapest one atm is the crucial T500 I believe.

Is £2800 right for this PC?
the Klevv doesn’t have a dedicated DRAM cache Thanks for double checking; for some reason I had it in my head that the C925G had DRAM. You're right, it doesn't. You can swap to either [this Gen 5 DRAMless SSD](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/z98Pxr/crucial-p510-2-tb-m2-2280-pcie-50-x4-nvme-solid

My external SSD which contains my entire lightroom catalogue and every photo I've ever taken as a photographer has seemingly died after not even 10 months of use. What do I do?
That drive is suitable for everyday use but not for keeping it as a storage device with important data, especially copying large files for numerous times. That is because it is because of fake "fast" buffer to write the files. For this kind of situation you want a good brand drive with dram cache and
