Lego accidentally sent me two Concordes

Closest I got was Amazon sending me an extra SSD (5 instead of 4) but even that backfired since they ended up being worthless. Related note: Don't buy Crucial BX500 4TB drives.

Are M.2 SSDs dead? | (The M.2 connector might not provide acceptable signal integrity for upcoming PCIe generations)

Good SATA SSDs with DRAM are dying out. SATA SSDs cannot use HMB, so DRAMless SATA SSDs are hit particularly hard. Crucial discontinued their MX500. Their only remaining SATA SSD is the BX500, a DRAMless and sometimes QLC nightmare. WD has removed the DRAM from their WB BLUE, Sandisk had done the sa

WD Ultrastar DC HC580 is the fastest SATA hard drive I've ever seen! Broke 300MB/s barrier.

go buy a BX500 from crucial (while you can I guess?) absolute shit speeds, like literally pen drive speeds (<10MB/s) after you copy 100GB or so to it

Cannot start after SSD upgrade

Since when is crucial “budget level”? They are one of the top players around. Budget level are the cheap SSDs, like the BX500 and stuff. Also, SP is not that bad, obviously not at the same level of bigger brands, but i have a couple and they are not that bad. I looked at many different reviews befor

The Crucial BX500 ain't no replacement for the MX500. It's a joke compared to the MX500 and sometimes performs a lot worse than hard drives. Everyone else is either sun setting their good SATA SSDs or secretly downgrading. I guess everyone views m.2 as the future for consumer SSDs.

Need Advice for Reliable SSDs

Thanks for the detailed reply. That's a fair point about Kingston, I'm just not sure I could trust one of their SSD as anything but a backup that doesn't get used frequently. Also thank you for pointing out the QLC-NAND bit, the Crucial one that I found (BX500) was with this kind of drive and I'd de
