Looking for Honest Air Purifier Recommendations in Chennai — DMK Supporters Please Ignore
I have been using both the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 and the Coway Airmega 150 for a few months now. Best ones in the market rn under ₹20k. Although there's not much fancy stuff on there, the Airmega is just superior when it comes to air purifying. It has a HEPA filter and a separate air filter as

Is the only big difference between these two square footage?
The Coway Airmega 150 has a separate permanent pre-filter. This makes cleaning the pre-filter much easier and doesn't risk damaging the pleated HEPA media underneath. Airmega 150 also has higher CADRs. FYI: on Coway's website, the discount codes COWAYMEGA10 or FORYOU10 give an additional 10% off for

How are the Ambani's okay with breathing the same air as us?
I got the Coway Airmega 150. I personally don't feel any changes in breathing but it does have a colored indicator to display the room's air quality and it does work. For example if the door is opened and someone comes in, the light turns from blue (good) to yellow (less than good). If you're planni

Air purifier recommendation
For wildfire scenarios, you'll want a Smoke Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) equal to a room's area at the least. This assumes an 8 ft. ceiling. This means a Smoke CADR of 100 CFM minimum. If you have young children, you'll want to ensure the purifier isn't too loud. A Pediatrics article claims USA ho

Should I not get a Levoit?
I tossed up with the Vital 200S and Coway Airmega 150. Went with Coway. Great brand reputation and True HEPA.

Deciding between the Smart Air Sqair and the Coway Airmega 150
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Smart Air Sqair due to the lack of pre-filter. The problem is that you generally shouldn't vacuum EPA or HEPA filters. Airflow is meant to go in one direction. If you're aren't gentle or don't turn down the suction power, you could damage the filter media with a vacuum. Th

Need Help Purchasing an Air Purifier for a 12x10 Bedroom
To start, apply the AHAM 2/3 rule described in the AutoMod comment. Since your ceilings are slightly higher, we have to calculate by room volume to get a "readjusted" coverage rating. 1,040.4 cu. ft. ÷ 8 ft. = 130.05 sq. ft. 130.05 sq. ft. ÷ 1.5 = 86.7. Round up to get bare minimum CADRs of 87 CFM.

Why your Air purifiers are not reducing VoCs - Answering with facts
I'm using the coway airmega 150, rating 120V ~60Hz 35W, ANSI/UL STD 507, it's mechanical (less dehumidity I believe?) And has carbon filters & HEPA-certified ones! It's a cheaper option I believe but I'll definitely look at these other suggestions, look great

Is the only big difference between these two square footage?
I got the Airmega 150 but regret it now as it’s unclear if the filter is actually true hepa or if they are just using fancy marketing by calling it ‘Green true hepa’. I have not been able to get a clear answer from them about it. I’ve also found it impossible to source a replacement filter that isn’
