Is it possible to choose the perfect camera?

So today I have been struggling to think about something else than what camera should I buy. Because I came to a point of complete confusion about the issue. I have a camera and it is a Canon EOS RP, it has been a good friend for almost 3 years and I have taken it on many trips. However, time passed

Momma | I feel lucky to have gotten this image after getting my first digital camera a month before

After four years of playing and learning with film photography, a trip to western Wyoming prompted me to buy and start to try and understand a Canon EOS RP as a budget-yet-capable mirrorless. I knew I wanted a long lens so the RF600MM f11 IS STM was a decent go-to. On day 2 into the trip, my friend

Instant upload

It would make more sense to upgrade your old Canon RP (6yr old consumer spec) to a newer/better Canon body with quicker AF rather than switch to a whole new system of lenses, unless you have other reasons to switch beyond wanting quicker AF.

Ken Rockwells opinion?

During the great mirrorless camera wars of the 2010s, a lot of the influencer crowd drank the fruit punch from the other manufacturers and has continued to do so, leaving their high opinion of Nikon behind in the DSLR era. Now, Nikon is still a great camera brand and the woes of first-gen mirrorless

Hummingbird in flight captured with an Olympus E-M1 MK II and Leica 100-400mm in burst mode (low) with continuous auto focus (3x3). I tried this type of shot with Canon EOS RP but the servo AF is just not fast enough.

Vintage lenses, digital bodies.

Mirrorless cameras are probably the best option. Nearly all current mirrorless cameras can use simple adapters to mount Canon FD lenses. Needless to say autofocus and auto diaphragm functions are not available. I use Fotodiox and Pixco adapters on my Canon EOS M5, RP, and R6 cameras. I prefer my R6

Is there a camera in the $500 range that has automatic face-detection and autofocusing, an LCD screen that flips out and rotates, and rapid shot functionality similar to the Canon EOS RP?

I tried out my friend's Canon EOS RP the other day and really liked the automatic face-detection and autofocusing. I also liked the LCD screen that flips out and rotates, and the rapid shot functionality.

Is there a less expensive camera than the Canon EOS RP that still has the same features I

Recommendations on cameras good for skyline photography?

I only know Canon hardware (Sony or Nikon are fine, too) and I'd see if I could find a used full format, like R6 (MK I) or R8, perhaps even an older RP for that budget. Lenses are a different matter and might cost you more than the camera, although a relatively cheap do-it-all zoom like 24-105mm plu

Considering the switch to mirrorless… but which one?

You want a mirrorless camera that’s affordable, lightweight, easy to focus, and full frame, and you already shoot Canon? Easy answer: get a Canon R8. You could also consider a Canon RP if you want to spend as little as possible, but the R8’s tech is supposed to be a pretty significant step up, espec

Just switched from Canon !

I spent the last two years with a Canon EOS RP. Honestly I got more and more frustrated by the erratic AF of the RP and the high price tag of Canon lenses. So two weeks ago I saw a Z 24-70 S on sale for nothing and I figured that I could get it + the Z6II for substantially less than the ”equivalent”
