How to get into street photography as a high schooler?
Hey AnythingForRiceUni, As much as I love classic street photography and documentary photography shot in big cities, I've always been a big fan of photography done in other places. To me, Street Photography doesn't have to be in the center of New York, LA, etc..... Check out Stephen Dirado's work. H

budget friendly concert cameras?
i feel like mirrorless is a smarter option, but i’m aware they’re more expensive. than again, im here because im not entirely sure which one is better, especially for dim-lighting settings. i was looking at the canon EOS r100, and that seems like an okay-starter camera, if i find the proper lens for

150-600 is too large and heavy…any recommendations?
If you’re willing to system switch (BIG ask), I’d recommend a Canon EOS R body and the RF 100-400 f/5.6-8 IS USM. For a 400mm lens, it’s incredibly small and light and cheap ($650 new, $520 as a Canon USA refurb); around $500 used. And unlike most of the current Nikon Z crop bodies, the awesome anim

First Camera
Another (but more expensive) option would be to go for a mirrorless camera. A Canon R50 + RF 100-400 would be $1250-1300 (perhaps less on other platforms?). It's easier to use, the AF is better than on a DSLR and the 100-400 is much lighter than a 150-600, but also significantly less powerful.

Which camera to buy to start more advanced photography? (Canon/Nikon/Sony)
I shot a 5D for many years and I can say all of the 5D mkii images I see on flicker lack the magic buttery smoothness of the classic. Canon made some kind of compromise on the sensor of the mkii and I personally strongly dislike the way it looks. Judge for yourself though, just keep your eye on this

Planning to switching from Canon DSLR to mirrorless (Sony vs Fuji) for portability , which one should I choose?
Sony and Fujifilm are brands... they make a variety of different cameras. i was in a similar situation. I bought a fujifilm X100. the original one. I never quite got the hang of it until I bought the book X Series Unlimited by Dan Bailey. All of the various APS-C cameras have some things in common b
