I brought my first ‘proper’ camera this week so I can finally get into bird photography. I got round to testing it out today and I’m so happy with how this shot turned out! Now I just need to get better at the editing part 🐦⬛

APSC, bad light and 32000 ISO. Max ISO is 6400 for me on r7. Lower the shutter speed and or get a tripod or monopod. Obviously you are also cropping into it.

I have both. If you’re shooting small birds, R7 all day. There’s no substitute for the reach/resolution because you will be cropping. I would say the R6ii is a better camera in every way except for birds.

Along with that, now that there are 40+mp full frame bodies, you are getting a lot of that extra reach simply by engaging a built in crop mode, which is a 20+ mp APS-C equivalent. Canon's 45MP FF sensors capture ~18MP in crop mode, so if focal length is the limiting factor, you'll capture more detai

Looking forward to this! Gonna sell my R7 and finally go full frame. Never wanted the resolution decrease that would come with previous generations, 32MP is perfect, so this is my dream camera!
