Danke!

New Tamron 70-180mm lens distortion HELP

Sony a7v sensor readout is about 62ms and my canon r7 is about 35ms. Rolling shutter shows up about 10%of my shots, so yeah it’s got to be from the read speed. Go mechanical or buy a faster readout camera. Sony a9iii for 0 second read out but anything around 10ms is probably good for this scenario.

Low light and slow shutter speed on the OM-1.2 paired with the 150-400mm f4.5

Thanks for the response. I am really considering making the OM-1.2 with the OM 300 f4, my upgrade camera (currently shoot on an old Canon eos t7). Do you have any complaints or feel its cant handle certain situations that we'll? I know it's as trade off but I am curious to hear from an actual owner/

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! August 07, 2026

I assume you mean R7 rather than A7 with the second option. The choice between the two is largely about personal preference. Lenses matter some: Canon RF has no third party telephoto options while Sony has plenty. Third party lenses are often cheaper than first party ones. However, you could use any

Sony A6700 Discounts?

Here it's ~$15 difference :). At least worth comparing: https://cameradecision.com/compare/Sony-Alpha-a6700-vs-Canon-EOS-R7 More lenses for A6700, lighter, more compact, very good 4K/60 video, but no pre-capture, lower resolution etc.

How do I minimize wing flap blur?

As time goes on post processing gets better. The hardware requirement may be dropping if you're using the latest software features. I'm personally not because I don't like Adobe in principle anymore due to their aggressive dozens of hidden background programs you'll probably never cross paths with i

Advice needed: lightweight wildlife setup Nikon vs Canon vs Fuji vs Sony vs Olympus

I am looking around in hopes of upgrading my current Nikon D5600 system (I also have two lenses both Nikon brand: 70-300mm and 18-55mm).

I was originally looking at the D500 and saving up for a Nikon 200-500mm or Tamron 150-600mm lens to go with it (all used) however, I am concerned about the long-

Canon EOS R7 is good for a beginner?

Hi, I want to buy my first mirrorless (I have no experience with other cameras). First I wanted to buy fuji x-s10 16-80mm (f4), but It Is not available in my country. So now I would opt for EOS R7 18-150mm (f 3.5-6.3). The Total price for the kit Is 1790$, I am wondering if I could buy something Bet

Help with Focus point issue: How to change focus point or sharpen a Blurry Wildlife Image (Canon EOS R7 + RF 100-400mm)?

I recently bought a Canon EOS R7 with an RF 100-400mm lens and took a photo of a leopard in the wild. The first shot I took was blurry because I think the autofocus wasn’t ready yet, and the focus ended up on the background instead of the animal. The second shot was much sharper, but unfortunately,
