First shooting with a "real" camera
Took it with my new Canon EOS R50 using the 18-45mm kit lens
What so you think? Did I do a good job on it?
I had to lower a bit the light coming from the window in light room but that is basically the only editing I did
15 Years of Apple. iOS 1.0.1 → iPhone 15 → Burnout. Now on Pixel 9 Pro XL — and Honestly? I’m Free.
Hey everyone — just wanted to share a perspective that I think some of you here might relate to.
I’ve been using Apple gear since the very beginning. I had the first-gen iPod Touch, followed by a long list of iPhones: 3GS → 5 → 5s → 6s → 8 Plus → 12 → 15. MacBooks, iPads, Apple Watch — all of it. F...
Bought an m50, accidentally.
The m50’s actually smaller than the r50 and several of the compact ef-m lenses (like the well-regarded ef-m 22mm f/2) have no RF/RF-S equivalents yet, so your “mistake” might not be such a bad thing if portability is important for you. If you’re in the USA, I’ve seen some of the refurbished EF-M len...
Is this a good photo?
Took this picture of my cat in the garden. I feel like it's a good photo, but keen to receive some critique from people that know a little more than me!
📷 Canon EOS R50, RF 50mm f/1.8, ISO 200 f/1.8 1/400
Bought my first camera about a month ago, how can I bing out its full potential? More in details.
I got a Canon EOS R50 double zoom kit as my first real camera and have absolutely loved it and the potential it has. However I feel like I could be better.
In particular I really enjoy doing night photography. It just seems to be hard to properly get the camera to capture night time photos the way...
EOS Rebel T7 - Internet says no hot shoe but isn’t this a hot shoe? Confused … & need to buy a flash
If you look at it carefully, you'll see the hot shoe is missing the central terminal point which is used for standard flashes to fire, this is a dick move from Canon to force you to use only some of their dedicated and expensive flash units, more of a dick move since this is one of their budget came...
Have cameras gotten so expensive everywhere lately?
The Canon 750D was released in 2015 at a list price of €799. That would be over €1000 today. So that R50 is maybe evidence of MORE value for the money now than ever.
Did I make a mistake in my first Camera?
No the R50 is fine. The burst length is fine, you're a beginner, pick your shots you don't need 200 raws per pass. EF to RF is completely fine, buy an original canon adapter just to be safe - I've got an EOS R and a 5D IV, the lenses work perfectly on the R, I've only bought EF. As a first camera, g...
I regret not buying my first "real' camera sooner
I bought my first camera recently, and it is a Canon EOS R50 with the 18-45 kit lens.
I know this kit lens is not great, but damn my pictures are looking so much better than my smartphone's ones. And I am using a flash ship one , I own a galaxy S22, and yes, it takes good pictures, but the detail...
