i think i see vent ports above the eos badge, plus the top plate seems to have threaded holes for direct camera attachment like the Fx3. Probably has an integrated fan like R5C and FX2. Seems to be a large function dial on the back left of the pic too, which is a little odd for a cinema camera

I would say yes. We have a Canon R5C, C50, and two C80's and they are great cameras. I know this sub is pretty "Sony" heavy, but there is nothing wrong with Canon Cinema cameras. Those lenses would be just fine for what you want to do. My advice is, though, to think less about a 3 camera setup and m

It was very nice of you to share your story but there's some things that you really should know. First I'm a professional that's been shooting VR for the last 13 years in the media business for 40 and shooting at the R5 and r5c for the last almost 4 years. I tested and rejected the R5 because it ove

The 70-200mm f/2.8 was a game changer for me - having shot on the EF Canon USM III and the Sigma "sport" versions of that lens on EOS R, R6ii, and R5c - the RF version is so much faster and precise, as well as a tad lighter

I am a working VR professional and you're on the right track it's just a matter of understanding how to use the tools. First of all, what settings did you use on your r5c? Hopefully you shot Canon raw LT 8K at 59.94 frames per second. Canon color science is a little different and you have to get use

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head here. The R5Mk2 offers C-Log2 so in theory a bit more dynamic range than the R5c, but the R5c has no IBIS whatsoever (due to the cooling fan being bolted onto the back of the sensor) so no ugly wobble if used on a stabiliser or rigged to something. The R5c is

Newer Sonys have separate settings so you can swap between video and photo settings on the fly, it's been such a big quality of life improvement. When people were saying that the Canon R5C had that I was like meh, but now after using it, I can't go back to not having it when shooting hybrid.

I am using a canon r5c, ronin rs3 and 65 watt anker power bank and works great. Walking shots are very tricky in vr. So plan little to no movement. Low light is the vr killer. If you cant light the scene it wont look good on vr

I recommend renting the R5c as needed and putting more money toward post-production software. https://www.lensrentals.com/rent/canon-eos-r5-c-vr-creator-kit-w-rf-5.2mm-f2.8-dual-fisheye The Immersive Company just put out a teaser announcement about a new option later this year. It might be good to w

I wish Canon would release an R5C MK2. I also currently have an R5 and need a cinema focused camera so the C50 is on my radar.
