Is this a good deal for a beginner?
That's a lovely shot. The R100 is a lot more basic compared to the R10 so bear that in mind. It's Canon's current low tier camera while the R10 is in the Prosumer APSC line. It's not a bad deal at all though. If you're not bothered by size you can look at used DSLRs at well. For a similar budget you

Thanks r/birding for inspiring me to buy a camera! Such a great hobby I'm much healthier now because of it! Here's my top 10 from year 1
I use the Canon EOS R100 with an RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM lens, It's quite a light set up and works great for hiking and walks sometime in the future I'll expand my lens inventory with some prime lenses

Why do you use the camera(s) you use?
A Canon R7 that I use for the "'heavy" stuff (birding, plane spotting, macro, portrait..) A Canon R100 that I purchased to be permanently part of a rig to duplicate slides. But then I purchased a fisheye lens for the R7, but the angle of view is so wide that the R7 grip is in the field (and so are m

Olympus OM-D E-M10 vs Canon EoS R100
Flooded my Canon G9X camera on my last dive trip. Looking to upgrade to a mirror-less camera going forward. I tend to go on around two dive trips a year, and so I don't want to break the bank on this purchase, but at the same time I want to make sure I can get the best system for the money. With

Lad Dir Beispielbilder runte

Camera recommendations for 12 year old
First question is do you want them in the mount system you use so lenses and other gear can be shared. And do you want an interchangeable lens or fixed-lens camera? If you don't care about pooling gear or you shoot Canon, and you want IL, if you're in the US, I'd suggest monitoring the Canon USA ref

Why do you use the camera(s) you use?
Canon r100 it was the most affordable of the newer canon cameras, and it allows me to invest in newer lenses, so that when I make the upgrade to a better camera (something like the r8 or r7), I’ll have the lenses, and would’ve gotten use to using them and having an idea what scenario each of them is

What's a good compact digital camera under $1000 for travel?
so i ended up finding a good deal on a canon eos r100 at a local used shop that fits my needs pretty well. it's lacking the fancier features of some higher end models but honestly i like shooting manual and don't miss them. maybe i gave the impression that i needed something tiny - with the kit lens
