Z50II announced

For the intended audience of this camera (Costco DSLR two lens kit camera dads), a built in flash is a plus. There's a reason why the Canon Digital Rebel, R100, R50, and R10 all have built in flash. It's a nice to have for emergency light. Plus, it can be used to trigger optical slaves.

Just got my new camera. Shot on auto, should I do manual on birding photography?

Gotcha. I have a Canon R100 and full manual isn't too cumbersome on that (not necessarily fast or easy but do-able). But yeah I haven't used anything else extensively. In general though I agree that some automation with limits is typically the best for wildlife photography. You could spend all day f

Could i justify buying a camera?

A Canon rebel t3 might be a good fit. Its an older dslr that you should be able to find for super cheap. Or if you want a budget friendly beginner option with new tech the canon eos r100. To be fully honest I am not good with the technical side of it all so other people likely have better suggestion

Canon trigger on R6II with V1s and V100S flashes?

Yes. The only thing that has to match brand is whatever goes directly on the flash hotshoe. The only gear that does not work for cross-brand TTL are the TT350/V350 and X1R receiver (and the TT685 was never updated to work with Leica; and the Canon version was the only TT685 that can work in P-TTL wi

iPad front facing camera is garbage because the CenterView Ultra wide. What do you guys recommend if I don't want to upgrade to a DSLR?

Why you don't want a DSLR/mirrorless?any cheap canon mirrorless will do! and you can put on a flash!less than 600 for: Canon EOS R100-systeemcamera + RF-S 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM-lensless than 200 for a descent flash

Rate my rig

So my current lenses will work on their r100? Not directly. You have to get an EF -> R mount adapter. But once you have that, then any EF/EF-S lens will mount and work on a Canon EOS R mirrorless body. In the US, Canon's are about US$110-$300, depending on whether you want a control ring or to use d

My 16 year old daughter wants a nice camera!!?? *HELP*

Ask her what kind of camera she expect/wants. There are pretty much 3 options you could get her A older dslr. These still have great image quality, especially on older professional ones, but are often heavy and large so maybe not the best for a 16yo to carry around. This would be something like a ca

My 16 year old daughter wants a nice camera!!?? *HELP*

I know your budget is 500US but for 599 you can pick up a Canon R100 + RF-s 18-45mm lens kit. The R100 is a mirrorless camera that is very compact, light, and modern. Everything a younger person who may not be super passionate or technical yet needs in a first camera. The 18-45 isn’t the most amazin

What is a good camera for mostly everyday use?

I am a Canon user, so I am not knowledgeable about other brands, but I will say that all of the major camera makers have excellent cameras. Treat these recommendations as a starting point, and definitely look at other brands. I would recommend the Canon R100 or the Canon R50. They are the low end of
