Dead as in being made by Canon? Or as in new lenses coming? Then Yes it is. Dead as in worth buying and using at a reasonable price if it fits your needs? Then no it is not IMHO. I bought my first M series camera in late 2022 (knowing it was most likely dead from Canon then) and own 5 bodies now (M5

Not knowing what kit lenses the OP had with their M50, it's likely a recommendation may be one of them. Canon only ever made eight EF-M lenses. I own all of them and see no reason to not have any of them. Since the biggest reason to buy into the EOS-M system is the compact form factor, the Canon EF-

i buy from MPB USA... they stand behind their products. most of what i get works great. I bought an inexpensive compact camera... an old one. it was malfunctioning when it came in. they sent me paperwork to print out for free shipping.... sent a FedEx courier to pick it up and gave me a full refund.

a mirrorless camera... along with your old EF-S lens.... and an EF to M adapter will not be compact! i don't think you have enough of a budget for an m50 and a decent ef-m lens if u invest in an M camera get one of the later ones: M50, M50 mk II, M200 or M6 Mk II if u really want to go with the M50

I'd say that either you don't really enjoy photography or you're buying the wrong cameras, or a mix of both. I see often people that just need a basic camera and spend thousands on an ILCE, plus lenses, cards, etc, just to find out you have to travel everywhere with 5Kg on your shoulder. So obviousl

So I picked up an M200 for hella cheap. Wanted something small, digital and modern-ish. I usually shoot with a 5Dsr complete with grip. It's a tank, and it's not necessarily travel friendly for spontaneous trips. Best thing did was get my hands on the Canon 22mm f2 STM. I have the kit lens but never

R100 is a very stripped down camera. I wouldn't buy it. 400€ is ... problematical i would not recommend going to Ebay/marketplace/somedudeontheweb. Risky. Buy from a respected dealer of used gear. They will stand behind their products. you will be getting slightly older gear for that budget MPB EU,
