I have had 3 Shardor grinders, 2 of them being the model shown, one being a replacement for a cheaper one, the third being a replacement for the second. The first 2 lasted less than 6 months in combined total, and the third showed signs of exhaustion on speciality coffees, at which point i moved up

Congrats on the machine. What did you get? First thing you will want to do is order a scale off of Amazon that measures in tenths of a gram, that will fit under your portafilter on a whatever cup you are dispensing into. These can range from $20 for generic to over $250 for an enthusiast level scale

7 out of 10 absolutely love the grinder. The other 3 say it clogs constantly If you search this sub, you will find similar feedback for most grinders ever made. My opinion is that many of the problems are due to operator error. If course there are a few grinders such as Breville SGP that have a high

I recently replaced my Breville smart grinder pro after 2.5 years. It stopped working, often struggled to grind fine. Would not recommend.

I've had a Breville SGP for years and am happy with it. Use it mainly for espresso and batch brew and my hand grinder for pour over/Aeropress/phin. I've worked professionally in the coffee world and have used all sorts of grinders. A good grinder does make a difference, but for the price point, I'm

My wife has used her Breville BCG820BSS Smart Grinder Pro for the past year with no issues. Still grinds consistently and is easy to set up. Right at $200

Regarding the filters, as long as it's a number 4 filter, that's fine. I have the KBTS which is the smaller version of the KBT, and we use both the brown a Bamboo filters and the bleached white filters without issue. Regarding the grinder, I personally think most people should just get a used grinde

I've been using the Breville Smart Grinder Pro with the same espresso machine as yours. It been rock solid and does grind very fine. I have it set to 12 typically but that's dependent on the coffee bean. So with good espresso it's consistently good and hits the 12 o'clock mark on the pressure guage.

I don't think that's ideal, but it will do the job for now. Save up for any of these. All should be below $220 in most places: DF54 - best budget flat burr grinder Fellow Opus - best 'flat burr tasting' conical grinder Baratza Encore ESP - noisy, but best value for money imo Breville Smart Grinder p
