Please give me a reason NOT to buy a Breville Barista Pro

Worked in the kitchen retail store before and a few months ago the barista pro along with the regular older Oracle touch and precision Brewer showed up on the list for items eventually going out. Unless things have changed recently. Reason for? I wish I could tell you. I personally think Breville re

Am I wrong when I say a lot of new technology isn't useful at all? If I'm not wrong then why is it being created then?

They work amazingly well actually. You probably just bought a crap machine. Pressure and flow of your home water system aren't relevant for an espresso machine. The interior boiler fills up with water while its on to some degree, or you can fill it manually. Espresso machines have their own boilers

Espresso Series 1 owners, be aware that volumetric mode is turned on by default…

Received mine yesterday. Read the two page how to turn me on booklet. I own a Breville Oracle Touch. Which long ago I quit using the built-in grinder. I have gotten it to a science. But for everyone's information I drink one drink a day. And a 14oz. Bag will change across time. Which means continuou

ECM Synchronika II - Is this counter space suitable?

I'm clearly biased, but I agree. LM looks nice, but I really dig the mechanical not-quite steampunk look of the classic e61 design. I also didn't like that LM traps settings behind an app that you have to connect. My ONLY complaint is that the clock runs fast... I just reset the clock every time I c

Feedback wanted

Came from a Breville Oracle touch - which is a BDB with a fancy interface for the most part. I've owned many machines from lever to superautos over the last ~30 years. No regrets except maybe where I bought it - I'd suggest Clive based on feedback/comments. The steam works just fine for me, it might

How reliable is Breville compared to other brands?

Owned our Oracle Touch maybe 4-5 years. In the last 6 months, I've been able to repair two issues from watching YouTube videos. Prior to that, problem free the whole time. One issue was the really loud obnoxious (electrical) noise (caused by leaking o ring that begins to short electrical connections

Lelit Bianca v3

I came from a Breville Oracle Touch which was semi automatic. I had it for years! While it served me really well and I truly enjoyed it, it always frustrated me the inconsistent results. The hardest part is truly the puck prep, for someone who comes from automated grinding, dispensing and tamping. I

Breville Oracle Jet

Well....I took the plunge yesterday. Jumped on the Jet train. I was looking at this, Jura's, and the Oracle Dual Boiler. Ultimately, I decided to do something I dont always do, and make the budget conscious decision. It's too early for a complete review. But its slightly smaller than the Oracle Touc

What's the Best Espresso Machine for Home Use Widely Loved by Aficionados?

My wife bought me a DeLonghi 10+ years ago, which has been fine, but I’ve always wanted more control. That machine was enough to stop drinking instant. If I’m ever offered a drink at someone’s house, I always opt for tea, as cannot bring myself to drink instant. So… I guess it begs the question, wha

Is there a semi-auto espresso machine that will help dial in for you? [No Budget]

The Breville impress machines up to the oracle touch sort of do the tuning for you in terms of a certain amount of water in a certain amount of time. But the important thing to understand is that this timing guideline is just a guideline. Its not supposed to be the end goal. Its to get you in the ge
