You probably want a dual boiler and your budget is right at the starting point of those. Look at the Breville Dual Boiler and the Lelit Elizabeth.

The letdown here is that Breville doesn't offer an otherwise advanced unit w/o a built in grinder. I find Breville grinders to be where costs are cut the most.
