What’s the best bang for your buck: espresso machines [2024]

used gaggia classic pro is prob the best bang for buck imo. built like a tank, easy to mod later if u get obsessed, and holds resale value. paired with a decent grinder it’ll easily give you real espresso without spending breville dual boiler money. for something simpler, the breville bambino or bam

Rate my set up?

You know it's funny we must think alike, because I was going to go with almost this exact set up after researching haha. I think the Breville Dual Boiler is the best Breville to go for as far as Breville's go. It allows you to temperature control the water, nice dual boiler for milk and it has push

Convince me not to get the Cafelat Robot! [$500]

I have a breville dual boiler, however I haven't used it since I got the Robot... I initially got it as a fun toy, but since it's easier to use + tastes better, I stopped using my actually expensive machine for espresso. I still use it for steaming milk occasionally, but the Robot is just that good.

Talk me into keeping my LaPavoni

My first machine was the La Pavoni. I had trouble with the workflow and couldn't get more than one or two good shots out of it for every 10 I pulled. So I picked up a used Breville Dual Boiler. Two totally different machines. I love my BDB, and I'm starting to really master getting good espresso out

Best coffee machine for Australian households (hard water, small kitchens)?

I reckon a Breville is a good place to start the hobby. Especially the bambino or BDB. You can’t deny that Aussies get good pricing on these.

Switching from BBE to Bambino

Id imagine they're pretty close to the same thing, so not worth it (not sure if the Bambino has a PID like the BBE though). I had a Breville Infuser for a long time which is the same brew setup as the BBE (no grinder). Great machine but when it died the upgrade I made was to a Dual Boiler (they are

ES1 Rebrew on the way

Same story as you. Received my black rebrew last week and sold my breville dual boiler. 99% flawless, minor knick in the tamper and milk pitcher. Received my update to 2.3.15 the next day but still waiting for the latest firmware. Portafilter is a little tight and I have slight worries about the gro

This or that? Comparing Breville espresso machines

We have several places with Breville coffee machines Have fully manual dual boiler, probably 12 or so years old. Shame no built in grinder, as much prefer the bench space. We had two Oracles not survive five years, so received credits back and now bought the Jet. Just got a Barista Express. Whilst i

Profitec GO or Dual Boiler [around $1000]

I think neither of them would be a good choice as a starter machine. Both machine wont fit for everyone, like the warmup time or workflow might bother someone. Machines like delonghi ecp or breville bambino would be a solid pick for learning and discovering what else features you are REALLY looking
