Bambino Plus

I've seen many cases like this on brevilles, the black coating is some kind of non stick layer that ends up like this eventually, breville stated that it's still safe to use at this state. As a bambino plus user I will never consider a breville machine after seeing this, even on their best machines

The letdown here is that Breville doesn't offer an otherwise advanced unit w/o a built in grinder. I find Breville grinders to be where costs are cut the most. They feel and sound cheap, and in my experience grind inconsistently. Now I have a DF54 and it's been a rock solid performer with my Bambino

I upgraded from a Bambino Plus to a Quick Mill Pop Up, and it’s been a major step up. I never felt like the Bambino got the best out of lighter roasts, even medium-light beans. The Pop Up has much better temp stability (you've got 1/2 liter of water at the right temperature and a lot of metal in the
