Crumbling shower head [Sage Barista Express]
I've seen many cases like this on brevilles, the black coating is some kind of non stick layer that ends up like this eventually, breville stated that it's still safe to use at this state. As a bambino plus user I will never consider a breville machine after seeing this, even on their best machines

This or that? Comparing Breville espresso machines
The letdown here is that Breville doesn't offer an otherwise advanced unit w/o a built in grinder. I find Breville grinders to be where costs are cut the most. They feel and sound cheap, and in my experience grind inconsistently. Now I have a DF54 and it's been a rock solid performer with my Bambino

Bambino steam wand upgrade comparison (1-hole stock tip vs 4-hole Plus tip)
Yes I can! Breville has some of the worst labelling on their website. The way I was able to distinguish between all the seals they had was scrolling down to check which machines they were compatible with. I just made sure the washer I bought was compatible with the Bambino Plus. On the website the m

Do Breville Barista models go up in quality with an increase in price? [$1000]
"Do models go up in quality with an increase in price?" No. They don't go up in quality with price. ""Is the Express internals quality the same as the pro or touch?" I'd say the Express Internals are better than the Pro or Touch as far as pulling shots. The Express uses a thermocoil system which is

Breville vs Ninja [Budget between $500-$700]
The express is a semi auto which means diving into making espresso and learning to pull shots. The luxe is closer to automatic. With your budget and just starting out, you sort of have to figure out your end goal. The Ninja can be more hands off and create a greater range of drinks with less experim

Sage Barista Pro (built-in Baratza grinder) – worth upgrading to a separate grinder?
I did almost like you did for my first setup I got a Breville Infuser and Baratza Encore ESP pro. Reason why I got the Infuser over BBP (Breville Bambino Plus) is because I wanted the expresso machine with PID controller for brewing temperature control so I could dial in all kinds of roast and it’s

Seeking feedback on proposed first-time set up [$1200]
Breville Bambino Plus (if pricing is the same, is there any meaningful benefit to ordering direct from Breville vs. Williams Sonoma or another online retailer?) Don't buy direct from Breville. If you machine is DOA or breaks shortly after purchase, Amazon, Williams-Sonoma, or other retailers will be

Yet Another What Espresso Machine Post: [$2000]
This is the issue I had. https://www.reddit.com/r/espresso/comments/yja12h/found_a_metal_part_inside_the_foam_nozzle_of_my/ I fixed it exactly as it was put together (I even temporarily borrowed another Bambino Plus to ensure each washer/fitting was put back in the same place). Granted, it lasted me 3 years

Bambino Plus vs Profitec Go for Milk Drinks [$1500]
In many countries the breville DB, on sale a few times a year, is less than the Go. The DB is a solid upgrade over the Bambino. The Go can be if you are patient waiting for it warm up and cool down between extraction and foaming for multiple drinks.

Overwhelmed by options [$1300]
As someone who has both the bambino (regular) for the office and breville barista pro (equivalent to the bambino+). Regular bambino is really all you need. You get a 3 way solenoid and auto frothing from the bambino plus but it's not really worth the additional cost in my opinion.
